Casa Mia Restaurant & Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Caerphilly

Booked for 6 pm with a 2 hour turn time, normally wouldnt be an issue except it was impossible to get staff's attention. After being sat by one lady we asked for some water and asked for her to come back to take a drinks order after wed had a chance to look. This member of staff didnt return so the order was taken by a different lady. After 20 minutes we were still waiting for the drinks, which unfortunately ended up coming the same time as the food. Straight away we see some hair on the plate so we called a waitress to address the issue, she took the plate back to be remade however didn't do anything with my friend's meal, which got cold waiting for the replate (as we obviously would like to eat our food together at the same time).

When we were done and ready to leave, we tried to get the manager and another lady's attention 6 times but they didn't respond as they were chatting and the music was loud. Finally the bill came with no apology for the poor service and issues we had, and no money was taken off (just some form of gesture of good will like taking £4 off for chips or something). Yet another different server asked us for payment at which point we tried to speak to her about our dissatisfaction, but she walked off before we could even finish, which was quite rude.

The Manager came over and sat down unprofessionally and with very condescending attitude stated: "we dealt with your issue and replaced the food. If you wanted hers redone you should have asked us to redo it but you didn't so this is the bill. How would you like to pay".

This whole experience was incredibly off-putting and soured what should have been a stress free evening. We should not have to tell you how to do your jobs, but we also work in the service industry and would be mortified to have our guests treated this way - the second meal should also have been replaced so that we could enjoy a hot meal together. During the time we were there we also witnessed 3 meals get sent back to the kitchen with complaints, while another guest had to take hers to the bar as she could not get any attention from the waiting staff.

We both work in a premium brand restaurant so we understand good service, and this was not it. We will not be returning and definitely recommend people go elsewhere for their dining...

Food is beautiful here!!! I am a regular customer and I held a baby shower last month, everything was good but not great. The staff didn't inform the chef of an order and if just had to be who the baby shower was for which put a downer on day. First of all the started didn't come at all, by the time we had asked for it and it was cooked, everyone had finished there's. Once again our main meals came and her's did not. I then asked again where it was incase they had made the same mistake which they did. Once that came not everyone had finished but some had which made us all feel a little uncomfortable. The rest of the service was great until half way through a game staff came up to us and said we have to pack up and go as they're closing in 5MINUTES for change over to Dinner. I thought that could have been handled A LOT better as we had bunting, table clothes, balloons, games, cakes, and lots of presents to then pack up and do trips back and forth to the car in 5MINUTES. I had called the restaurant and booked the tables over a month in advance and I had no body tell me that they close at a certain time and that we would have had to finish!; If I knew that then I would have booked somewhere else as the baby shower was cut short. I have had to rewrite the Casa Mia because of the food portions are getting smaller and smaller every time me and my partner go in there for food I normally have pasta with something when my girlfriend has his it is a quite a lot when I have mine this week in 2024 it was literally a handful of pasta and while me and my girlfriend was talking I said to be oh your portion looks big in a mine this time she says yes my is a lot bigger than yours I'm pretty sure your portions are getting smaller and smaller every time we come in here and I'm not having to go but I am just saying I know I'm on a diet but I wish the portions of food will stop getting so small for that pasta with something it costs me £10 and when I finished eating it I always feel more hungry I'm not a big eater and I have been on a day at since last year so so I need them to sort that out stop giving us small portions of food and every time we ask or I've had a small portion can we have it more please she or he always says oh you'll have to buy an I never played for well I don't want to play another one just give me more portion of the thing so making the food less and less and less have ever go to the green lady to have a popping meal and...
