A stunningly elegant restaurant and cocktail bar situated right in the heart of Caerphilly Town. 10 Degrees stands head and shoulders above anything Caerphilly has to offer and is a truly unique experience. They have a huge selection of drinks, from craft cocktails made with meticulous care an extensive wine collection and of course your true and tested premium lagers and ciders you can expect to find at most restaurants. The dinning experience is where 10 Degrees truly shines. having confirmed our booking we were escorted to our seats and offered menus. The staff were quick to come to us to see if we would like to order drinks while we had time to examine the mouthwatering selection of food they had on offer. We choose to have some nibbles while we waited. The olives, sourdough bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil and also the smoked Almonds and I have to say as simple as it all sounds it was really something special. I personally loved everything and didn't leave much for the staff to take away. For starters I had the pan fried scallops with a parsnip pure and chorizo. The scallops where firm yet succulent and perfectly accompanied with the parsnip snd chorizo giving a lovely contrast between flavours. For the main event of the evening I went for the Brecon lamb rump. This was the standout. the beef was tender, flavourful and juciey just how lamb should be and served with celeriac and potato roasti, apricot gel, tenderstem brocoli and cumin jes. You can really tell that that alot of love and passion is put into everything that 10 Degrees offers you and you will be made to feel comfortable and respected by everyone. I cannot recommend this place enough. Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Selection ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Seating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Parking ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tried out the new vegetarian choices on the menu this week My husband has been a vegetarian for 40 years the great thing about the new menu at 10 degrees is have first some choice of dishes but secondly the quality and exceptional standard of the dishes We shared 2 starters between us the cauliflower croquette - absolutely stunning everything you love about cauliflower cheese in every mouthful, crunchy on the outside but also with some amazing puree and pickled cauliflower that adds texture and flavours It was hard to choose a favourite but that was mine , my husband’s was the mushroom tart , such a fine crispy case , really rich mushroom mouse with different mushrooms and a delicate and lovely tang For our mains we had the tagliatelle with courgette , peas and pesto , absolutely delicious , beautifully presented , loads of flavour the pesto undertone tasted fresher than I had expected stunning ! The other main we ordered was the slow roasted celeriac, I’m not a big fan of celeriac so was a bit dubious on my first taste but OMG it was absolutely amazing! The depth of flavour in the mushroom broth was unbelievable ( I would have licked my plate clean if I was at home ) little touches of some slow roasted mushrooms and onions and some puree just added to the dish We also ordered the carrots and almonds side dish - now that was a side dish that was elevated beyond any side dish I have had , I could have eaten that as a main The almond paste the roasted carrots were on was delicious and I couldn’t get enough of it all the touches of the crispy carrot slithers just added to the look and the texture and taste of the whole dish To go with our meal we had cocktails and mocktails , wine The service was excellent great staff welcoming and friendly, lovely relaxing atmosphere Can’t wait to go again

Bottomless brunch attended this weekend. Poor quality drink selection (no lager, no cider only pre mixed pink and blue panda pop with apparently vodka pre mixed in jugs that we werent even allowed to pour ourselves or prosecco, both of which i drink neither of so wouldn't have attended had i known this) Substandard buffet although we were under the impression this was a meal.. We had frozen French fries in a bowl and goujons and some dry giant loaves of bread with some filling in but the amount of bread was way too much. (Hardly £6 a head) No fresh food, a leaf or grape would have been nice Bonkers bingo was fun and the Dj was good, but only one prize given that I could see Pretty poor value for money at £49.50 a head. Wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend either We enjoyed ourselves but it wasn't because of the venue or the service we received. Below is the screen shot of what they said Bonkers bingo was at £49.50 per head... Fell far shorter than expected. Ripped off i would have put it

I’ll start by saying the food was 10/10 I had a flat iron steak which was cooked to perfection, I opted for the baked potato with cheese & chive at a £2 extra, which I felt wasn’t worth it the skin was hard and I would go with chips as standard next time. My friend had the burger which she said was very good. The place its self is lovely, modern and a perfect place for date night or general catch up with friends. It felt up market for sure. However, the service is what has let this place down and the reason for me opting for 3/5 stars.

Our original server was a guy and he was pleasant, and took me & my friend to our table. A young blonde woman then took over, she was fine at the start brought our food and checked everything was ok. There only became a problem towards the end of us dining. I think there came a mix up with the drinks, so the original server (guy) asked if I’d like another drink to which I said yes. 15 min later there was still no sign of him, to which we assumed he’d just forgotten and asked the woman server for a drink instead. We noticed they interacted with each other then the guy brought my drink over 5/10 min later, followed by the woman who brought another drink not long after but realised before she’d even got to our table that I already had said drink.

When it came to the bill we were charged for 4 drinks (should have been 3) and a service charge was automatically added on. When I raised this with the woman server she said that she would just take the service charge off as she didn’t know how to work the system. I requested she found someone who could so the drink & service charge could be removed. She then said can I ask why? And we stated we’d prefer to have the option presented to us rather than it automatically added on. (We both thought this was very rude)

Another 15 min passed with no sign of a bill, she then came back to us and apologised and said I’m on my own and we’re busy so I’ll get your bill when I can. We both became increasingly annoyed as we were again left waiting patiently. When she did finally come back, she had only taken off the service charge and not the extra drink which we didn’t have (something she said she would do in the first instance) we corrected her again and told her of her mistake and offered to come to the front for her to re-do our bill. She then asked another male server to correct the bill which took all of 30 seconds, which left us confused as to why we had been left in excess of 30 minutes waiting for our bill.

Overall it put a real dampener on the evening and we both left feeling frustrated. It was a shame because like I said overall the food was really good, second guessing on coming back as we are...

We had the privilege of hosting our wedding reception party at the Marquee at Ten Degrees this past Saturday, and we are thrilled to say that it far exceeded our expectations. We cannot thank Rachel and the entire team for their exceptional dedication and hard work in ensuring a flawless evening.

The level of organisation displayed by the staff was truly impressive. They effortlessly coordinated every aspect of the event, from curating a menu that included our preferred dishes, including the addition of our own South African delicacies, to arranging the decorations, balloons, and enlisting the services of a talented DJ. Their meticulous attention to detail made the entire process effortless for us.

The venue itself was remarkable, with the spacious marquee accommodating all of our guests, including the delightful surprise of a few extra attendees. The ambiance was delightful, creating an atmosphere that enhanced the celebration and fostered a sense of joy among our loved ones.

The culinary experience provided by Ten Degrees was nothing short of sensational, arguably surpassing any other dining establishment in Caerphilly. Each dish was flawlessly prepared, with an impeccable attention to detail and extremely delicious. The food left an lasting impression, with our guests continuing to rave about it days after the event.

We must commend the manager and the bar staff for their exceptional service. Prompt and efficient, they ensured that no one had to endure a lengthy wait for their drinks, and the constant replenishment of prosecco added a touch of elegance to the evening. The skillfully crafted cocktails were a highlight, and the candyfloss cocktails proved to be a resounding success. Even the younger attendees were delighted with the mocktail version thoughtfully created by the bar.

To the entire Ten Degrees team and talented chefs, we express our utmost gratitude for crafting an extraordinary wedding party that will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts. Your unwavering commitment to excellence transformed the evening into a truly unforgettable occasion shared with our beloved family...
