Nestled opposite Caerphilly Castle, Consurio Lounge is a delightful surprise. Its positive vibes and contemporary design make it a standout choice. **Atmosphere and Design: 5/5** The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a chic and inviting space. Modern touches blend seamlessly with timeless elegance. It's a place where conversations flow, and memories are made. Our serving waitress was delightful and quite knowledgeable about the local history. **Culinary Delights: 5/5** Consurio Lounge takes culinary artistry seriously. From inventive brunch options to exquisite dinners, each dish is a masterpiece. Don't miss their halloumi burger and the prosecco and passion fruit martini **Crafted Cocktails: 5/5** The cocktail menu is a symphony of flavors. Try the Lavender Martini – a fragrant blend that transports you to a lavender field at sunset. **Upstairs Oasis: 5/5** Venture upstairs to discover a cozy lounge with street views. Whether you're unwinding with friends or lost in a book, this spot feels like a secret escape. **Verdict:** Consurio Lounge isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. The attentive staff, the culinary magic, and the vibrant ambiance make it a must-visit. Cheers to more delightful moments!

Situated right opposite Caerphilly castle is Consurio Lounge. The Lounges latest addition to its restaurant chain. There is no parking only the Morrisons nearby which is limited to 3hours. Similar to the other Lounges in Cardiff, if you've ever been is much the same, which is a good thing. Great selection of food and drink from coffee to cocktails. Even the latest beers on tap. Food is nice with a good selection of tapas to slightly larger meals. Price is very reasonable for food and drink. Atmosphere is great. Downstairs is (or can be) rowdier than upstairs. Only piece of constructive feed back was there wasn't many fries with the burger I ordered. I paid extra for sweet-potato fires and all told there were 10 fries?! I also ordered another beer to my table and when it arrived it was thr wrong one. The lady serving me seemed to not believe me, so I had to get my receipt/order up in my phone. Seemed to lack a bit of trust. Will return. Edit. Did return for breakfast and it was great. Staff friendly, food delicious, atmosphere perfect.

Place looks lovely with a great atmosphere. I don't think the majority of the staff dess appropriately, wearing gym gear I think is a big no no. Ordered a glass of wine- glass was dirty and smelt. The lady happily replaced it with no problems. Ordered another wine and soda. Came with lemonade. Gentleman behind the bar was quiet rude when I asked him to change it.( I don't think wearing a baseball hat back to front is a good look either). Waitress smashed a plate fullnof food( yes I know this happens) the plate actually shattered flew passed a lady with a new born and landed by my foot. This was not cleaned or no apologie. Nice place but only one member of staff there.

After work, I went out for dinner with the hubby and our young daughter to what has been one of our fav places in Caerphilly, Consurio Lounge. By the end of the meal, I was so disappointed and upset with the whole experience that it completely ruined my will to go back there again. I love all the "Lounge" venues. I've never had bad experiences with them. I like the menus, specially the vegetarian and vegan menu, the food is tasty, I like the deco and atmosphere, etc. The service has always been good here. When Consurio Lounge was about to open, I was very supportive and sharing the news on social media, recommending the place to friends and family, etc. I've been at the Consurio Lounge many times since, for meals mainly, meeting friends, family, etc. But yesterday (Thursday 17th October 2024), the experience wasn't great, and the lack of customer service was just awful and made it worse.

When we placed the order at the counter I mentioned about the table needing a wipe as also it had water on it. Then, the waiter brought the drinks to us to the table (one of them was wrong, so had to prepare it again, and my glass had a chip and a crack so I had to send it back too) and I had to ask again about wiping the table which he did, but only where the water was.

When the food arrived we had to wait a few minutes until the waiter brought us the cutlery and he only provided 2 napkins, we were 3 people (he got the cutlery right).

All of the above, I somehow, could get passed that. But...

We decided to go for dessert and chose an ice-cream Sunday that was supposed to have Belgium chocolate sauce and salted caramel sauce in it, with vanilla ice-cream, choco brownies and cream. When these arrived, they looked pale, with barely any sauce, full of cream, no brownies on mine, just broken pieces of 99flake. These cost just under £8 each. I called the waiter and explained that I was not happy with the dessert. I only ate the cream and it looked messy because I had been searching for the brownie pieces in there which were none. The waiter took my Sunday and when he came back he said he spoke to the chef and that it was a matter of "preference", that "there was nothing he could do". I said that it is impossible as there was no brownies, almost no sauce, so there was lots he could do. He offered me a drink instead. I didn't want a drink. I wanted my dessert, made well and as on the menu. He said "is that what you wanted?". I said yes, but not if it's going to be done the same way. So I asked for a refund. He went to check with someone and then he said that he could not do that as I already had half of my dessert. I was astonished. So I asked where is my Sunday then, as he never brought it back and I paid full price for it. So I ended ordering another dessert for a similar price, the churros. Oh, but they didn't have it. So I ordered a cheesecake. It took another 15 minutes until this arrived. I was not happy. I ate it for the sake of it, because I paid money for a decent dessert, but all I wanted was to get out. The cheesecake was tasty, but for what I received on the plate, it was well overpriced. I received no apology, there was no customer service, no one ever came to check and ask how our meal was, etc, we had no good service at all, a complete lack of eye for detail.

We left the premises and no member of staff said goodbye to us, thank you or anything. I didn't feel like a valued customer, quite the opposite, it felt insulting, I was extremely disappointed. I'm afraid that this has put me off from going back again to Consurio Lounge.

I'm giving 2* because the food is tasty.

Ps: and my husband woke up today suffering from diarrhoea and yesterday he had nothing but breakfast at home and the meal there in the...

In all honesty anyone who disagrees with me is objectively stupid, this place is it, it's perfect! I love the Art Deco Revival/Neo Art Deco look of this place, it easily could fit into New York or London and would fit in brilliantly but instead it's here in Caerffili which to me is a plus, not only will it be a very dominant establishment in this otherwise underdeveloped town.(I say this with love, it's got brilliant vibes and a lovely Castle but doesn't quite do enough for people to stay a while) but it will also put Caerffili on the map, it can be a brilliant place to grab some food and drink at after touring the castle (Cymru's best screw Caernarfon! I jest) but it also is an attraction, a star in and of itself, for a start it's a gorgeous bar/pub in the main hub of Caerffili which is for looks alone sure to draw people in, the touch of bunnies at the bar is particularly adorable but this place isn't all style and no substance, it's both and to the maximum! The food and drinks here are absolutely phenomenal, definitely sure to draw in crowds! They have a wide array of exotic dishes and a good few closer to home if that's more your style. The drinks are also exquisite, they are wonderfully well made and delicious!

Now for a review of my particular order:

I ordered two tapas being Korean King Prawns and Fried Squid. A side of chips. Apple & Elderflower tonic. Lemon and Lime cordial.

The tapas were amazing beyond words, the chips were the best I've had in a long while, the lemon and lime cordial was very nice but most importantly the apple and elderflower tonic was bloody brilliant, indescribably delicious!

My suggestion would be to add a customer favourites section to menu and put the A&E tonic front and center because I ordered three of them and I would definitely order four more on my next visit, I would suggest that instead of having a cocktail and mocktail section instead if possible just have an alcoholic and non-alcoholic version available.

To top of the delicious cake that was this bar the service was amazing, very friendly and efficient! The Consurio Lounge definitely has potential to be a large brand with...

For the price you pay, you really don't get what you'd expect. We used the app to order but then manually told the kitchen one breakfast needed well done eggs for pregnancy reasons, this was forgotten about so we had to send it back. The drinks took forever to arrive and when the mocha frappe arrived it had to be sent back because it was just cream and sugar with a little whipped cream on top. No ice, no coffee. It came back with coffee in, but still not what you'd think of as a frappe.... More like a milkshake. None of the toast was buttered with no butter offered to do it ourselves. The child's squash was weak and basically just water..... Bit of a shambles from a place that's pretending it's up-market and superior when in reality, they can't get basics right.

Update: Another disappointing visit (really must start going to the other cafes in Caerphilly town) ..... Garlic cheesy fries @£4.50 just over fried, grease laden chips with the tiniest amount of cheese and garlic.... Basically over priced fries. The bacon on the breakfast maybe thick(ish) but pathetic portion size for an adult (see photos). Even more over priced than last time, lunch for 2 adults, 1 child just under £50 ffs..... On top of all that, asked for a flat white with a shot of syrup but they've well overdone it to the point it's so sickly you can't taste the coffee. Incredibly poor service and food \drink for the cost. I'd have complained in person but nobody ever asks if everything's ok....I...
