The Talbot Arms — Restaurant in Wales

I had a very disappointing night out here after one of the female bar tenders refused to serve me. This was simply because I asked for a double Jack Daniels and I didn't realise until after she had served it that she had put ice in it. I asked her if I could get it without ice as I didn't ask for it "on the rocks" and she said she would strain the ice out rather than pour me a fresh one. After I queried the fact that you should never assume what a customer wants and that you should ask first, she point blank refused to serve me or my friends.

I was civil and polite throughout my dealings with her, I didn't swear or raise my voice, and I got refused service over her...

Fantastic local, friendly pub. Staff are so welcoming and made me aware of the offers that were available on drinks at the time of our visit which was fantastic! Had our dog with us who was made really welcome in all areas of the pub and was even treated to dog biscuits by the landlady. Can't fault the staff or the service and would highly recommend a visit here! We only popped in for 1 but due the lovely atmosphere (and the offer on the wine!) We stayed for 3!!...

I have only recently started coming to the talbot and what a fantastic establishment. The staff are welcoming and attentive throughout your stay, with exceptional customer service.
