The Tumble Inn — Restaurant in Wales

Came here on a Saturday afternoon, the place was quite full, however we managed to get a table straigh away. Service at the bar was quick, I had downloaded the wetherspoon app before I arrived. Very impressed how easy the app was to use to order food for 5 of us. The app displays the same menu as you will find in your chosen wetherspoon pub. Large groups may want to chose their meals and add to basket beforehand. You can simply press button to order, or edit your basket when ready. Food arrived quickly and everyone had different items, there were no complaints, the steak was cooked to our requirements and everyone enjoyed their meal. I later used the app to order drinks and again I was impressed how quickly they arrived. I appreciate that at busier periods you may have to wait a little longer. Visited on Friday evening with friends, food was delicious and drinks were very good. Service from one member of staff though was shocking!!! We were apparently sat in the dance floor area of the pub, as a first time visitor of the Tumble Inn we didn't know this, so came as a bit of a shock when a very rude bar man came over and told my friend he was taking her chair away, with no explanation, when she asked if he expected her to stand he just shrugged his shoulders. We had decided to make use of the App to order our drinks as the bar was pretty busy, this was fine, until around 9.30 when we had ordered on the app, and same said man came over with the drinks and said "we dont do table service over here after 9 so dont order off the app again" Very shocked by his attitude, while i understand the risks of serving drinks through the dance area, there was definitely a politer way of the gent to go about telling us this instead of the...

My wife and I often find a Wetherspoon pub when we are on holiday or go out for the day. Mainly because , like most people these days, we have to be careful with our money. Wetherspoon's may not be high dining, but it is always great value. We have rarely had a meal that wasn't good.

We have been in the Tumble Inn a few times over the years. Sometimes, the service hasn't been as good as we have received in other Wetherspoon's pubs. But this time we were impressed by the service we got. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was okay and that we felt welcomed. I actually wondered if they had all recently been on a customer service course! The food was what we are used to and of good quality.
