Vanilla Pod — Restaurant in Wales

What a fantastic lunch. We attended the American Lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Mac and cheese, Jack Daniels ribs, handmade burgers, handmade garlic bread, hot dog with chilli, apple and cinnamon pie, with New York Cheesecake and whipped cream. Fantastic quality, taste, and beautifully presented. We were served by Callum a student at the college, who was wonderful - he hit the balance of being friendly, communicative and being professional perfectly. Our requests were met with an attentive Callum - who was able to explain the menu to us accurately. The team led by Nicola looked after the needs of our vegetarian friends brilliantly, so we all enjoyed our lunch. Nicola runs a very professional restaurant, with high standards - so we will certainly be visiting again. Add to this the value for money - it was around £12 for a 6 course meal with free cocktail. I went with a group of friends for the Sea Food special. We were totally blown away by the incredible service. Pristine table wear, cutlery and glasses gleaming and fabulous silver service from the students. We were treated like royalty, nothing was too much trouble. Then there was the food, we honestly don’t think we would have got better at a Michelin star restaurant. The fish was so fresh and beautifully cooked. Everything was made in house from the warmed crusty rolls to the petit four served with the coffee. A beautiful intimate setting, food and service was sublime!!! A really special experience made extra special by such wonderfully trained and welcoming students! Well...

My hubby and I went to the Vaniila Pod today to a coronation afternoon tea, table look quaint with a pretty China tea service, white cotton cloth, serviettes and a vase of small roses. The food looked inviting and well presented on a three tier stand. A tasty sellection of cooked savoury food, sandwiches and cakes rounded off with warm scones, jam, fresh cream then a delicious raspberry dessert in glass.
