Whistlestop Cafe — Restaurant in Wales

Do a great breakfast, which is the same every time I go, and we've been going for years. They do daily special meals as well as a menu of all sorts, to keep adults and kids happy. Nice set-up. Staff are great, it's a friendly place, and there's usually loads of parking outside of on the HTM. Just wish they'd have decent tea bags, it's weak and they seem to like putting a ton of milk in it. It's £1.50 a cup, at least get some Tetley tea bags Update. Went recently. And the feel of the place has changed. Prices have gone up, which is understandable, but when they are this high you start to look around and find better quality elsewhere. Which is what we've done. On top of that beens has ran out, and if you didn't like tomatoes like one in our group, there was no offer of anything else or even a reduction. Food was basic and I was eating it until I found a hair in it. Staff were polite and refunded the breakfast. Tis basic catering pack sausages, bacon etc not farm sausages. Portions were OK but not the best breakfast I've had by any means. Made with ingredients I personally wouldn't buy from the supermarket. I prefer farm bacon & farm sausages as apposed to these that taste like mush especially for £9. Best thing on the plate were the tomatoes they were lush. Everything...

Worst experience of eating out in my entire adult life. Firstly sat outside facing a window with a pot washer cleaning cutlery with a filthy old sponge. Chairs dirty looked liked they hadn’t been cleaned in years and when the breakfast finally came out one look at the fatty bacon and deep fried cheap sausages was enough for me and I walked out leaving it untouched and told my partner to pick at it if he had the stomach too.
