Having passed this place a lot since it opened we gave it a try. The food was perfect, nothing was too much to ask for. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we stepped in to the moment we left. The only reason I'm giving 4 starts is due to the lack of atmosphere, we came on a Friday night and expected it to be busy, but there was no one else in the restaurant, there was no music or background music either. We also ordered 2 double gins and lemonade which set us back £16.80p. I understand you can take your own drinks but that seems a little overpriced.

Dinner spoilt my ridiculous demand for £2:50 to take away remainder of dishes purchased. Having spent £59 on a meal for two a few containers is minimal cost. Attitude of the Manager was offensive and demanding. Expensive and I would not recommend this place to anyone now which is a shame since the food was good.

Disappointed would be an understatement. Have used this place for years and as time goes by it gets worse and worse. Last night me and my family placed a large order worth almost £100 ( for a special occasion), you’d expect good customer service regardless at price but due to the unusual size of the order I expected it even more. However any customer service at all was completely absent. The food was 20 mins late and upon arrival was given to us in a bag that was completely covered in curry. Inside all of the contents had burst open and all of our curries was mixed with another another, with all the sides also covered. Due to allergies within the family, we were unable to have the food so rang up the restaurant for an explanation ( not to mention that some of the order was also missing). The guy on the phone argued with us and refused to replace the curries and was adamant that we was lying to him, he was very rude and put the phone down. He sent another man around to the house 15 mins after to drop of a few bags of salad that was missing with the popadoms and the man then shot off shouting at us for disturbing him whilst he was busy. To top it all the off the food quality that some were able to eat was very very poor. Never again shall they receive my service. I’ve been making excuses the last few times as to why we haven’t had the greatest meal from here, but this was the last nail...

Myself & wifey have just had a rare treat of a takeaway from The Gulshan, when I say rare, I mean it's been at least 18 months as I cook my own 'Fakeaway' (not even close). OMG.....we had one from here all that time ago and it has not changed......the food was OUTSTANDINGLY amazing! My personal fav is the K.prawn Madras. The sauce was perfection...runny how a madras should be, not like how nearly all restraunts cook it like a thick Balti! The flavour and heat just reminded me of the ROSE OF BENGAL DAY'S in the 90's (good times). The 4 king prawns were the size of golf balls and cooked to perfection. Well done Gulshan, please keep this authentic standard up. Oh, wifey really enjoyed here chicken pathia. Ps. Please ignore any bad reviews about this restraunt. (57...
