I live very close to this place and often visit here. This is the best place to walk, relax and do some recreational activities. There are tennis courts (I think you need to reserve them in advance), place to skate, there are swings, see-saw and other things for small kids to play. Usually on the weekends it will be crowded. I usually come here to read books or to have walk depends on the weather of course. There are a lot of things people can do here. Many people walk their dogs, train them or play fetch the ball with them. This place has multiple entrances but limited parking spot so you have to figure it on your Own.

Fantastic park plenty to keep kids entertained and plenty of places nearby if forgotten anything. My sons fav was the splash pool which was great though I do believe someone should be there to supervise the water area or parents should watch kids in there bit more careful but kids are kids and things always happen. The park was great as split in areas for big kids n small kids and the sand play area was great sensory. Fantastic day out will be going back one day.

Jephson garden walk has green house botanical garden which is free to go in and open all year round, then you can walk along the lake and cross the road to the Victoria garden, which is having a lot of work done to it at the moment. I'm sure it will be lovely by spring time. From there you can go over the bridge and go for a long leisurely mosey along side the river, stop off for a go on the swings if you so desire 😁.

Victoria park is a fantastic destination for those seeking a diverse range of outdoor activities. From leisurely strolls to energetic sports, the park offers something for everyone. The sprawling green spaces, well-maintained paths, and picturesque scenery create a serene and inviting atmosphere.

One of the park's most appealing features is its versatility. Whether you're a sports enthusiast looking to play cricket, football, or tennis, or simply desire a peaceful picnic spot, the park has it all. The abundance of amenities, including playgrounds, benches, and outdoor fitness equipment, further enhances the overall experience.

However, the park's popularity can sometimes lead to challenges, particularly when it comes to parking. During busy periods, such as sporting events or weekends, finding a vacant spot can be a frustrating endeavour. The current parking arrangement can often result in congestion and traffic jams.

To alleviate this issue, a simple yet effective solution would be to implement a one-way system for parking. By designating separate entry and exit points, the flow of traffic could be significantly improved, reducing congestion and minimizing the time spent searching for a parking space. The necessary gates and infrastructure are already in place, making this a relatively straightforward change to implement.

While the park's restrooms are generally adequate, they could benefit from some improvements to enhance the overall visitor experience. Perhaps investing in regular maintenance and cleaning could elevate the facilities to a higher standard.

In conclusion, Victoria park is a valuable asset to the community, offering a multitude of recreational opportunities. By addressing the parking challenges and making minor improvements to the restrooms, the park's appeal could be further enhanced, ensuring a more enjoyable and satisfying experience for visitors...

The people who visit this park are very rude and have uncontrolled dogs. It is an off leash dog park, but has a skating area, children's park, little kids park, tennis courts, bowls lawn and outdoor paddle pool. Guide dogs do a lot of training here. But crazy people let their dogs run around everywhere, charging at other dogs. On two occasions some individual has gone around insisting us and other owners leash our dogs - for no good reason. All of our dogs have also been attacked here. A lovely park, with a nasty community. (For those with dogs without reliable recall, please at least get a long line and harness so you can have your dog under better control-maybe then the crazies wouldn't ruin our stroll in the park for brining a dog to an...

Very well used park- and is being further developed with new play areas and play equipment. Best thing is the wonderful trees and riverside setting - there is a Riverside walk all the way to Jefferson Gardens - and a circular walk all around the edge of the park with a central grassy sports field. There are toilets in the sports pavilion, and a cafe next to the Bowling greens. In the sun today lots of families and children, older teens using the skatepark, dogwalkers, cyclists, scooterers, and joggers, and a rather unsteady very well protected and helmeted roller skater. Even a learner tightrope walker on his rope strung between 2 trees! Parking area near the bridge has been resurfaced and...
