I recently visited Chaiiwala and was thoroughly impressed by the delightful blend of flavours and exceptional service. The warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for a memorable dining experience.

Among the many delicious menu options, we chose the Engl-ish breakfast, Karachi bun kebab, masala chips, and for dessert, the limited edition passion fruit cheesecake and passion fruit juice.

The Engl-ish breakfast was a creative take on the traditional English breakfast, incorporating Indian spices and flavours. Each component of the dish was well-prepared, with the eggs, turkey bacon, sausages, and baked beans leaving a lasting impression.

The Karachi bun kebab was simply delicious. The kebab was flavourful, complemented by a soft, fresh bun, house-made chutney and their signature omelette. It took this dish to a whole new level.

The masala chips offered a spicy twist on classic fries. They were generously coated in a masala spice blend, delivering a satisfying kick with each bite.

For dessert, the passion fruit cheesecake was a luscious combination of creamy texture and sweet-tangy flavour, made for a great pallet cleanser.

The freshly squeezed popping passion fruit drink with popping passion fruit juice-filled tapioca bubbles provided a refreshing touch to accompany this delightful treat.

The design of Chaiiwala was appealing and played a big part in making our visit enjoyable. Throughout our visit, the staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The prices were reasonable, making Chaiiwala an excellent value for money.

We had such a wonderful experience dining here! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness, and it really set the tone for the evening. The standout for us was Gini — she was absolutely lovely. So kind, welcoming, and attentive, she genuinely went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. She helped us choose from the menu and made some great recommendations. You could really feel that she cared about making sure we had a great time, and her energy added so much to the experience.

The atmosphere was fantastic — lively, vibrant, and full of character. It strikes the perfect balance between being relaxed and full of life. The décor, the music, and the overall vibe made it such a fun place to enjoy a meal.

The food overall was delicious — full of flavour and clearly made with care. We really enjoyed everything we tried, and it hit the spot perfectly. The only slight letdown was the masala chips — we were hoping for a bit more spice and kick, but they still had a nice flavour. It didn’t take away from the experience, though, because everything else was spot on.

A huge thank you to Gini for making the evening extra special. Her kindness and great service didn’t go unnoticed, and we’ll definitely be coming...

I really enjoy having chaii at Chaiiwala. I was very disappointed with my recent experience at the Watford branch. I requested a vegan chaii latte which I was initially informed they could not make but they did eventually and they charged me the price of the vegan karak chaii. I was happy to pay the extra price for the oat milk. I follow a plant based diet for my health and the sustainability of our planet. On receiving my order I was told that they would not be making oat milk chai latte again on instruction of a supervisor as oat milk is expensive. I was surprised at this comment because I had paid the extra for the oat milk. I feel that this cafe need to embrace the importance of plant-based alternatives with regards to sustainability and climate change. I was really excited when I learnt that Chaiiwala was opening in my home town. I am sad to say I will never be visiting this...

My last visit after being a regular client I recently visited Chaiiwala in Watford with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. While the food was generally good, a few elements were disappointing, such as the yogurt chutney, which was so stiff it was practically inedible. However, the biggest issue was the atrocious customer service. The guy at the till was extremely rude and acted as if we were getting everything for free. His attitude was dismissive and unfriendly, making us feel unwelcome and undervalued as customers. Although I didn't express my feelings at the time, my family later pointed out how disrespectful his behavior was. It's a shame that such poor service overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable meal. We won't be returning to this location and would caution others about the unprofessional staff.

Too bad food from the last time. First of all their chai was thin like water this time. We ordered a desi breakfast came with half roasted paratha which was too chewy to eat. The aloo paratha was awful as the paratha was not at all roasted properly but just re-heated, it literally felt like having a double layer uncooked tortilla, as it was very thin with near to none stuffing. It was served with cold mayonnaise topped with mint mayonnaise instead of chutney. The bombay sandwich was again awful with signs of cold potato filling it literally felt stale outdated frozen sandwich that was reheated. Felt like a rip off with the cold, uncooked, low quality food. The samosa was unfresh again. Samosa was served plain without any chutney. Spent over £18 for 2 for a light brunch but just went disaster experience.
