I have been coming here for a few years but no more. Today they have showed me they don’t value their customers. I ordered two drinks for takeaway when I got home I realised one of the drinks they made was completely wrong. I paid for a classic brûlée with tapioca but when I got home I received only a classic milk with tapioca. So I called them up and they said to come back the next day with receipt so I can get a replacement one. I didn’t even ask for a refund just the correct drink which I thought they would rectify. I also took a pic of the wrong drink which you can see. Their mooboo classic brûlée is advertised as ‘Classic Brûlée is our classic milk tea with a floated fluffy, creamy vanilla custard cream with a layer of hardened caramelised sugar on top.’ I went back the next day and showed them the picture and receipt as proof and was still refused a replacement. They have gaslighted me and basically said I’m lying saying they gave me the correct drink. The manager wasn’t even in but they called him on the phone and the manager ‘apparently’ checked the cameras and said it was made correctly. Firstly how can you check if it was made correct just from a security camera when I showed a pic of the wrong order? The lady then proceeds to make up stuff saying the creamy layer got mixed in which clearly it didn’t and ALSO their should have been a hard caramelised on top of the drink. Which you can see on the pic it doesn’t. I asked the lady to confirm the layered top and she said their isn’t so the staff are clearly lying. I have decided to contact customer service and the bank. I won’t be wasting my time at this establishment or any of its franchises. Absolutely gutted that they made me come all the way just to to not issue me a replacement. Why would I lie about a drink and I ordered two drinks, if I lied I would’ve said both were made wrong. Lazy staff that do not care about good customer service. If I was an employee I would’ve made another one for a customer to rectify the situation. This was handled very badly. If you’re reading this comment looking for bubble tea places in Watford please do not come to this place, they don’t make your drink correctly. On this occasion, due to a long queue at the drinks counter, I made the reasonable decision to pick up a few straws in advance before returning to the board to make my drink selection. To my shock, a member of staff — a bald, slightly overweight man — approached me and began aggressively shouting at me in front of other customers, falsely accusing me of attempting to steal straws. I calmly explained that I intended to pay for them with my drinks, as I always do, yet he continued to berate and humiliate me publicly. His conduct was completely disproportionate, unprovoked, and frankly, disgraceful. The most bizarre and inappropriate part of the exchange was when he claimed I had taken the straws without his "consent." At no point did I require his personal approval to pick up an item I was clearly intending to pay for. His tone, language, and attitude were completely unacceptable for someone in a customer-facing role. This experience was deeply embarrassing and entirely unnecessary. I left the premises feeling angry, disrespected, and shocked that such behavior would be tolerated within your business. I expect a formal apology from management, a review of this staff member's conduct, and assurance that such unacceptable treatment of customers will not happen again. Read moreI love bubble tea and before mooboo opened in watford i was only able to get my fix when i went into london which was not alot, so i am glad moobo has arrived here a few years ago though my wallet says otherwise 🤣 as i can never buy just my drink but my family's aswell.
The people are lovely and very helpful if you can't decide you can ask for help, they even started to remember most of my order with how frequent i go, especially when they did the lunar new year red envelope and i was able to get my hands on a buy 4 and get 5th free drink coupon, with it we have been trying different flavours as its hard to pay for a new flavour and not like it.
So a warning for customers in the morning/early afternoon if your behind me your going to have to wait awhile as i always order 3 or more drinks.
Mooboo did have a app but they stopped using that now, you have to go to their website then go to mooboo loyalty click open make a account or sign in if you had a account on the app, now start scanning that qr code so you can get a free regular drink every 8th drink you buy. The member level still doesn't work though, but i am a level higher than 'mooboo baby' which allows me free...
