We placed an online order for collection for 2 pizzas. The order was placed around 7.50pm on a Saturday and the website suggested we can collect the pizzas around 8.20pm. We got to Watford fireaway pizza at around 8.25 and got told the pizzas were not ready which was fine. We waited another 20-25 minutes for our pizzas at which point we decided to eat in house as it was a fair bit later than suggested on the website. The staff did not apologise at all for being late. I must say the pizzas we quite nice.
However there ware 2 guys who just ordered a couple of milkshakes. One of the guys received his milkshake but the other guys was waiting ages for his milkshake. One of the staff at this point was chatting away to her friend at the restaurant front not caring how busy they were. I mean they could not even get an order of 2 milkshakes right, let alone making our 2 simple pizzas on the recommended allocation time (as per fireaway website).
Hire staff who care and are a bit passionate about their work, especially being a Saturday night. The staff did not seem to care about what they were doing and how long they took to prepare someone's order. I am aware there are deliveroo/uber eat/just eat orders as well but then have the resources available to cope with that.
I will order again but with the hope I get better...
Read moreThe lady on shift at 2pm today was very rude. First, she just took our orders and quickly just assume we are done and ask if we want to pay cash or card.
2nd there was literally no one in the shop and so my friend's kids wanted to sit at another table before joining us at ours, she rudely aaid to us to use just one table because another group could come and they have no where, my friend then asked what is the problem because she couldve asked us nicely instead her face looked like she didnt want us there where she had no customers at all!
3rd, I wanted coffee she said there is no coffee looking at me as if i knew about it????? Seriously? is this how u train people for customer service? I understand her english or manner of speaking could perhaps be lacking in use of courtesy, however, it is not an excuse to act rude.
4th your staff just decided to take videos /photos of the place when a large group of kids came for a simple birthday celebration. Your staff added us in the video without even asking our permission if we wanted to be part of it, especially when we have children aged 6 below!
Seriously??? so many things bad about this. its not the food. but really how your staff treat customers.

The Pizza arrived half an hour after this review. The driver was friendly, seemed very relaxed.
Food was warm, not hot, but still tasty
Increased star from 1 to 2.
Don't think I'll bother again, the wait is far too long, the staff in store seems to be too stressed and not able to offer customer service and there are just too many other options.

Never arrived,
After an hour and a half waiting I tried ringing. Took ages for phone to be picked up, 3 times the line went dead.
Eventually spoke to a member of staff who was rude and short answered. Kept complaining about being too busy and no staff.
Told him the website said my order was sent 40 minutes ago, (after an hour prep time!) and they are only 10 minutes away from me at most. He said the website and email lied saying he had only just sent it
When i told him to forget it and asked for a refund, told me I had to call back and talk to a manager in a couple of hours and then put phone down.
So disappointed.
I really would avoid this place, at least for delivery. there are plenty of other options...
