They do good coffee and the staff are all very nice people but the breakfast I had wasn’t great unfortunately . There is definitely some room for improvement with the food. The pancakes were dense and flat and the full English could’ve used more effort. The presentation wasn’t great, veg was over cooked and eggs were flat. Here’s what I had that I thought was pretty good 1) The vegan burger , it’s made with a moving mountain patty so it mimics the taste of a real burger very well and the fries had a nice crisp to them and lightly salted so they were very tasty 2) The ramen is nice (broth just could’ve used more seasoning, it was a little on the bland side for Ramen) so I would love for the cool to add a bit more bok choy, spring onions etc to it. 3) The vegan carrot cake - delicious !! All of this is to say, I do like this cafe , it’s in a beautiful park , spacious , and the staff are friendly so I enjoy coming here. That’s why I think they can do better . With cafes like Flourish and Ocean Bells in town , I think Tasty Bean would stand out more if the food is improved on a bit- especially...

Staff are very nice, friendly and accommodating. Came here to work from my laptop and whilst enjoying a sandwich and a mocha. I can’t have dairy as I’m lactose intolerant so opted for the oat mocha which was lovely and a club chicken sandwich with chips. All looked great when he came out however the sandwich was three layers of thick white bread with alot of tomato and lettuce and two very mesley slices of chicken. This was over £10 so I expected the chicken to be the main part of the sandwich, but it felt more of a bread and salad sandwich. I politely asked if I could have more chicken and showed the lady what was in the sandwich and she kindly retrieved more chicken from the kitchen for me. I don’t think this is the staffs fault, as I assume the food it portion controlled.

Service has been fantastic and great place to relax, music volume in the cafe makes it a little difficult to study here however, even with headphones on. So might need to find another location for my work. Will visit again however at...

The park itself is fantastic—truly a wonderful place that we visit regularly. However, the café experience can be improved. On weekends, the café primarily serves families with children, and while the convenience is appreciated, the wait times for food can be surprisingly long. During our last visit, we waited 30 minutes for a banana waffle, despite being second in line right after the café opened. Unfortunately, the food is quite average, making the long wait even more frustrating. As for the coffee, it’s not the best. If you’re particular about your coffee, bringing your own might be a good idea. The staff isn't necessarily unfriendly, but they do seem quite disengaged. A bit more warmth and attentiveness would definitely enhance the experience. Overall, the café benefits from being the only option around, but with some improvements in service efficiency, food quality, and customer engagement, it could be a much better addition to an otherwise...

Used the cafe as a pit stop whilst waiting with friends for a bike to be serviced. Had a couple of hot drinks and some food. The food seemed a little expensive, but when the burgers came out realised that it was not expensive for the portion size, the chicken and cheese/bacon burgers were an excellent portion size for the price, both well cooked with fries and coleslaw. Menu had a good choice for what appeared to be a small cafe in a nice location. Hot drinks were a nice selection too not just barista coffees, but of flavoured hot chocolates and alcoholic and non winter warmers too. The sour cherry & plum warmer was really nice and hit the spot after a cold journey down that way. They also had a dog menu and it was nice to see people were able to bring their dogs in to order and there was a drinking tap and water bowl outside. Nice to support a local business rather than visiting a brand

My son and his friends had an amazing time celebrating his birthday at the café! They loved the great food, unlimited squash, and getting to choose their own ice lollies. The party was held right inside the skatepark, which meant endless fun for the kids, while parents could relax and have a chat over nicely chilled drinks. A huge thank you to Ryan and the entire team — they were incredibly friendly, organised, and attentive throughout. From the moment we arrived to the very end, everything was taken care of with a smile. The staff made sure the kids felt welcome and excited, and nothing was too much trouble. It was a stress-free experience for us and such a fun-filled day for the children. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a brilliant kids' party venue with top-notch service!
