Godalming cafe — Restaurant in Waverley

I was just visiting the area and stumbled upon this lovely cafe. I was a little unsure if its the kind of food I fancied at first as I was only looking for a bakery at first. The menu was inside so I had to entry to read it. Upon entering I found it to be clean and functional. I went up to the counter where the lady was very polite and friendly. I ordered the "fat boy" breakfast as seeing the large menu had got me hungry. It was on the table within minutes and everything was cooked to a very nice standard. Whilst eating my meal I noticed the staff talking to customers in the dining area as they came in and out. They were all very polite and cheerful throughout. Food was good enough, portion arguably small for a £6.80 breakfast. After ordering our breakfasts with hot drinks and realising we were charged £17 for 1 Alex breakfast and 1 full breakfast I asked why and we were told that only "coffee" was included in breakfast price not a latte or cappuccino and was charged full price for them. I wasnt offered my "coffee" that was apparently included in the breakfast price either. This is a shame as it just made our breakfast less enjoyable than it should've...

We absolutely revere Godalming Cafe. My boss was recommended it by his previous work mate and as we work in the area, either a very bad day or very good day will often result in a trip here. Excellent all-day breakfasts (Freshly squeezed orange juice in pints and freshly made smoothies are also exceptional) with massive portions at very good value for money, friendly staff and good service. Would choose this place above the overpriced high street chain cafe's...
