Blue Asia Takeaway — Restaurant in Wealden

We've used this restaurant many times over the years, sometimes it has been delicious. But recently, the quality, and quantity took a nosedive. We decided to give it a little distance, but tonight, fancied a curry and thought why not try it again. I am so disappointed that I wasted my money on it. Not only did it arrive cold, needing to be reheated, despite only being a couple of miles away, but the portion size was abysmal, and the food tasteless and poor quality. We ordered our usual Balti, requesting it to be on the sweeter side as it has been too spicy before. (We have done this many times, so I know how it should taste and look). Tonight though, we did not receive anything remotely similar. It was a golden yellow sauce with only 3 chunks of tough lamb in and to top it off, the container was not even half full!! Shocking! The tandoori chicken was dry and had no tandoori flavour at all. One piece was comparible to unmarinated barbecued chicken and the other tasted of salt. Barely any rice was in our pot too and the mushroom bhaji consisted of only 2 tablespoons of wilted mushroom and no sauce. For over £32 this was a complete mess and I will not be bothering with here again. Daylight robbery from an establishment that has clearly decided to take no pride in their preparation. Bad food, bad service. Have tried to give blue Asia numerous chances to get it right. But it’s finally going to be our final order with them. Each time we order the food is cold... the delivery takes plus 1 hour, and trying to find out where the order is by speaking to incompetent staff is impossible. The food is hit or miss most of the time once it’s been warmed up the chicken is chewy, and the dishes are oily. The only reason we’ve used them up until now is they are one of the only places to deliver to our area. Uckfields number 1 Indian restaurant/takeaway are far nicer and far more professional. We had an excellent meal at this restaurant. The food was excellent, full of flavour, good quality and in plentiful quantity. The service was very good and our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. The decor is quaint with a homely atmosphere. Not too large, but large enough. There is not a large vegetarian menu, but the chef adapted meat dishes for us by substituting paneer. The cost is reasonable for the quality. Overall a lovely...
