I am just opposite the restaurant. During normal times, I treat myself to a very good breakfast every so often, it is always lovely. Today, my lady and I decided we would treat ourselves to a takeaway. We looked at the menu online. Emma chose a muffin with everything to make your ateries and waistline scream, but your eyes gleam with joy and anticipation. I ordered a burrito, I fancied a different taste for breakfast. Emma nipped across the road while I made coffee and readied for her return. All I can say is Saturday mornings are for laying in bed with the papers, Huey Morgan on the radio and a breakfast (on a tray) from Hartfields. The burrito was to die for, (handy because I was in bed) just devine. Emma's looked great and apparently tasted marvellous. ย ย ย Read moreI had the Standard Full English and it was lovely, I believe it's all localish produce and homemade beans which were very nice, crackling on the bacon was honestly perfect, haven't seen that anywhere since forever!
I then had the Raspberry Ripple Brownie (heated up), with a scoop of ice cream which again was spot on!
Decor and seating was nice and comfortable, with the table chairs having a slight backwards lean on the splats for comfy resting after the meal!
Service was perfect, friendly and when asking for things like if I could have some honey instead of Sugar for my pot of tea (Also a nice brand of tea bags, so also pot on ๐๐ป) they were happy to do so which was nice.
If you haven't been here, I reccomend it thoroughly and will be visiting again soon! ๐๐ป

REVISED: Iโve given Hartfields a few chances now, ignoring the slow service, the expensive menu, but today no more. Waited for 15 minutes jammed in the door with a cold breeze to be told it would probably be another ten minutes oh and the coffee machine is broken. Itโs too clicky, too expensive and there are so many others options in Uckfield that deserve your patronage in a cost of living crisis. I donโt know why itโs so popular but thats half the problem. So if youโre a favoured regular, good for you, for me, Iโm done, enough chances. 4 stars becomes 2 stars because the food is ok and everything else is the owners fault and...
