New years eve 2021 our family of seven decided to have a takeaway. Yes we fully understood it would be busy but having always gone there it was a no brainer. We called to ascertain how long food would take and for collection. Notified 45 minutes to 1 hour. Without hesitation placed our order. Just over the hour we collected. All seemed well until we returned home and started plating out. Realised we were short of one chicken tikka masala. My daughter phoned restaurant as it was she who placed the order and unfortunately it was her meal which was omitted. The restaurant asked for her to collect. She rightly declined due to fault being theirs. Told it would be delivered in five minutes. Roughly 15-20 minutes later my daughter called them back. She was told the meal had been despatched and were unsure why it had not been delivered. They took her mobile number and said would call back. After 5-10 minutes of waiting and NOT getting a call my daughter called the restaurant. She was asked for our address details again and told the meal should be with us soon. After another 10 minutes my daughter again called the restaurant. At this point she was extremely upset as everyone was sat down eating and she wasn't. My daughter heard the staff talking amongst themselves. She was told another meal would be delivered. This was now two meals which had not been delivered. About 10 minutes later someone arrived with a replacement meal. This person said they had delivered to No 2 instead of ours. In my opinion this was not true. In truth two meals were un-delivered. No mistake can be given for our address as our house in named and is NOT a number. So to give the excuse of delivering to No 2 is wrong. I called the restaurant to speak with the manager. At least two members of staff with whom I spoke with just let me hold on the phone. One member of staff initially said he was the manager but when pushed he said he wasn't. I was then put on hold again. After 5 minutes I hung up. My review is NOT about the food as the food quality has always been VERY GOOD. It is with the appalling delivery service and customer service the restaurant provides. If they have no control over their delivery driver then either get another driver or do not do deliveries. Was not very good at all, but when i collected it, they said after 10% discount it was 12.15. I thought "huh?!", shrugged, Borrowed a spoon and sat outside before my film up the road. I rechecked the prices, did the math, I explained, they fobbed me off, pointing to their restaurant menu saying for phone collections they use that menu. I told them, that's dodgy business, after going round a few times, and told them they owed me 1.20. Then they said "we were so polite" then accused ME of being rude. And said good night. with a HUGE grin on his face, brushed me off, to greet some customers who just walked in.
