Turan Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield

I’ve been a loyal customer at Bar Turan’s for years and went to the restaurant last night for dinner and our drinks order was taken/served promptly. Then waited for 45 minutes, our waiter was nowhere to be seen and all other waiters seemed too busy to attend to us (even when we were noticeably requesting to be attended to from our corner). We were still understanding but then a couple came in and sat next to our table and their drinks and food order was taken straightaway. That’s when I had to go up to the bar to ask and as expected they completely forgot about us. They apologised and took our order at the bar and then mistakenly served our starters to the table next to us! That meant the food had to be prepared again and we waited another 15 minutes. Then a waiter comes to us and asks us if we are ready for our mains?! We finally received our starters, to be fair which were delicious as usual. Once finished we requested if we could have the mains now as they promised us it will be ready as soon as we are done with our starters (I would expect it after such shambles). Guess what, waited another 15 minutes and no main course. It was enough and we made the payment at the bar and left. The management seems to have changed recently, the bartender who apparently takes takeaway orders as well have no customer service experience as he forgets customers within half an hour. Ordered 2 chicken lollypops for takeaway, paid for the order and went out after telling the person behind counter that will come back in 10 mins. He did not listen. Back after 10 mins and sat in waiting chairs, the guy forgot me already. The bartender guy totally ignored me, gave all other takeway orders and after half an hour when I said where is my order, he asked me everything again, what I ordered and whether I paid for it. Then said, my chicken lollypop was ready but only 1 portion and asked me to order something else, the other option was chilli chicken where the bartender said even if it costs more than chicken lollypop, it's ok, and he can give it to me in the same price! I felt like a begger! Then after few minutes, I was given cold chicken lollypop cooked few hours ago and chilli chicken which they did not charge me extra for!!.....after 1.5 hours I was having my precious takeway which I collected myself....

Very poor service. I wouldn't suggest to visit this restaurant. We went there for dinner around 6pm it was hardly any customers were there may be 3 -4 tables were occupied. We ordered our starter and drinks. It took nearly half an hour to arrive our starter that as well when we had ask 4-5 times. But wait that was not stopped, our main dish they got our Nan and Dal but no Currie we been waiting for our Currie then we start having with Dal. When we ask they said kitchen staff might be forgot it and they send it like 20 minutes later when we finished our Nan with Dal. REALLY VERY POOR SERVICE. When I complained about it I was informed that due to lots of delivery order this all mess up happened. Is this really an excuse to hide poor service ????? I am giving 2 star only because of their floor staff were trying to help but their kitchen staff were really struggling to handle. No doubts food was good can't say no...
