76 — Restaurant in West Devon

The atmosphere in here is beautiful, and the staff are lovely. However the food was honestly quite shocking. It’s a shame because I have had a very nice meal here before but the sharer platter we had this time was really terrible. None of the sauces matched the dishes, it didn’t taste fresh at all and we genuinely all described the meat dishes as smelling of fart (sorry), not worth £40 at all. The cauliflower was lovely but the rest was really not good. We were hoping to say something about it however not one member of staff asked us how our food was, even when it came to paying the bill! A real shame and I hope it was just one bad night for the kitchen as I usually enjoy...

came in to try the cream tea and i wish i could have eaten more! cream tea was strawberry and mint and was delicious. super light topping on a soft scone. came with hot chocolate (or other hot drink) too! the flavors worked really well together and it was the perfect summer treat. staff was really nice and polite too. very glad i stopped in and i definitely would love to come back to try more of their menu after seeing how well these flavors worked...

We booked the upstairs function room for a family party. We dealt with Jack from beginning to end, he was fantastic, communication was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Chef was so accomodating and really attentive to our needs, especially providing alternative options for fussy eaters, intolerances and dietary requirements. Could not fault anything, we would highly recommend 76 and the team and will definitely be back again...
