The Old Post Office — Restaurant in West Lancashire

Ordered through Cabo Mexican Street Food which they serve from here. We waited 45 mins and the order still hasn’t been confirmed on Deliveroo so I call the restaurant 5 times before they answer just to be told that there’s a Liverpool game on and they aren’t taking online orders for Cabo. Even though money was taken from my account and my order went through on Deliveroo. He then told me they stopped taking orders because they “turned off the machines.” News flash, the apps don’t know you turned off the machines, you need to manually stop taking orders on them. Such a stupid way to run a restaurant when the staff don’t even know how the machines work and paying customers are left waiting for nearly an hour with no communication that delivery...

Went for lunch, nice decor, friendly staff, however the food was disappointing. £12.95 for the Bacon, Double & Cheese burger with sweet potato fries. Similar price point to the likes of GBK and Byron Hamburgers which frankly blow it out the water.The food was ok, but I was underwhelmed for the price. The burger was of similar quality to that of Wetherspoons up the road, where a similar burger can be had for around £8 including chips and a drink. The salad also came with onion which still had dry skin on. the whole meal is served on a tray with the food on top of paper, which turns soft under the burger so you end up eating paper. Took my neighbour/friend out for her birthday (she's disabled and in her 60s) We wanted to try somewhere new... What a lovely evening..... My friend telephoned the Old Post Office earlier today as she was feeling anxious about trying a new place and the manager Gary put her at ease straight away.... My friend arrived before me and the manager took her to a seat (booth) and served her a drink to her table... He and the staff were amazing throughout serving us amazing fresh delicious food and drinks at such a great price with a deal on with free processeco! Great athosphere, relaxed and friendly.... We are booking in our next visit already Thankyou...
