So update on previous review.. Ryan who is the general manager got in touch with myself after the below review .. and he invited me back to the Nordic lounge in ormskirk.. I had the same food and what an improvement today's was it was a lot busier.. but good was tasty hot and of a higher standard they never knew what day I was going to return and was a spare of the moment. As I live in Manchester..anyways we ordered the exact same and all I can say was far far better .and tasty .. if you ever think nothing is right when u eat or unsure of something don't just presume it's better to ask .. ..now front of house staff well Eva is excellent asst manager .. always warm and welcoming and will go that extra mile for u. And will do as much as she can for u.. other front of house staff attentive and warm and welcoming.. Adam who is great.. I left my phone on Saturday and he came running after me again he was warm n friendly and goes the extra mile for you will be back again and a lovely environment. Thanks guys.

So popped in here today wasn't very busy a couple of tables having something to eat.. ordered large breakfast n small breakfast a pint and a cup of tea.. £37 pound total waited 30 mins .. swapped the beans for black pudding on small breakfast.. but paid extra for the black pudding.. when it arrived bacon was that crispy it was like eating bacon fries crisps that's how crispy it was. Sausages burnt to a blackened stated. Eggs were freezing cold.. .now I'm a chef n kitchen manager.. so I spoke to the manager..i think.. she was very nice n agreed with me wasn't up to there usual standard and offered to get new ones out to me which was fine but when returned was the same breakfast after 20 mins just bacon swapped n toast swapped. And they had no brown bread left so toast was swapped to white bread n soaking in butter.. They offered us a free drink cause of the first set was poor standard n unateable which I declined has we had one already.but when breakfast returned all that was different was bacon swapped .. not even fresh breakfast cooked . And was cold .but as the breakfast was still of very poor standard n the same and couldn't be eaten i called mangeress over the breakfast was not touched was offered money back again staff very apolegtic. And not there fault as they didn't cook it.. but come on how hard is it to cook bacon n egg n sausage front of house had a few staff so never looked short staffed maybe kitchen was.. anyways money went back in bank but wasn't given a full refund.. only refunded for the breakfast which was £28. Now ok we drunk the drinks but surely if someone complained where I run I would of refunded the whole lot cause food was not touched..of poor standard the black pudding was that thin.. I would say about a mm thick and was rock hard.. and extra was paid for it.. I won't be going there again . As there plenty of other eating establishments...

We went tonight as a party of 16 for my sons 18th with family tonight and I can't thank the staff there enough. Amazing time, amazing food, great price, fab atmosphere and amazing staff and management! I booked via email from 5pm for my sons 18th in the upstairs area and it was easy and simple! As a mum I admittedly was a bit overzealous with the messaging with various details etc but all was accommodated! I chose Nordico because ive been before and enjoyed it plus i had cealiacs and vegans in tbe party and the menu catered for all with variety which still not many places do! We had a buffet style tapas menu which was really amazing. Fresh cooked food put out on a high top long table with easily visible flags to show gluten free, vegan etc. A simple thing yes you may think however it's those little things like flags that make everyone inclusive and therefore relaxed. Chefs did Nordico proud! The f.o.h staff also equally fab. Despite being busy and probably me being a potentially 'needy' guest all enquiries/orders etc where met with a genuine smile and help/answers! The bartender who I asked to ask for my son for I.d while he bought his first legal pint was met with a smile and great banter while I took a pic! But also a big thankyou also goes to Ryan the manager. He was excellent which clearly echoes down into his team. Nothing was too much trouble. He explained everything when we walked in, was always available, happy, personable, professional, helpful, busy the list is endless! Several of us in the party have worked in the restaurant industry in varying levels and respect how hard it gets especially on key days/nights. But these guys nailed it as did Ryan. Even when I gave Ryan some of the birthday cake and a cash tip he explained without arrogance that he gave it to the staff as he was salaried. That there is a huge green flag. I can't say...

I just want to say a huge thank you to your team there, what a credit they are to the lounges community! We regularly visit your sites from liverpool, blackpool, cardiff, and all over. You a great menu, great for vegans and coeliacs which we need for our family. A calm and relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff however this visit in Ormskirk blew the others out of the water. We came in last night looking like drowned rats after getting caught in the storm, he kindly offered us tissue to be able to dry ourselves. We were then directly to th GF menu which has an outstanding number of options, my cousin was super happy (this was her first visit to a lounge). My phone had died and he offered to pop the phone behind to bar to charge....lifesaver! There was no long wait on the food it was all delicious. Upon leaving we were then offered brollies as it was still raining. Your team there went above and beyond to make what we thought was a quick bite to eat and incredible experience. I'm so sorry I didnt get the guys name but man he was bloody good at it job and born for hospitality. Working in restaurants myself I naturally find faults in places....but not one fault with this place. Maybe I can pursuade him to come and work for us on my next visit 🤔😏 Anyway, thank you so much, we had...

I went here a few weeks back with a colleague and we both had our lunch there. They do the fresh orange using fresh oranges in the machine, which is my absolute favourite orange juice so I was glad to get a big glass of it while sitting in the sun. The vegan menu looked amazing! Couldn't believe the variety they had on offer. I ordered the BLT and my friend had avocado on toast with eggs I think. To say I was disappointed with what arrived is an understatement. It was cheap bread, there was no mayo as stated in the menu, and it generally looked rubbish. I asked for mayo in the hope it would taste better than it looked and I was given some. Unfortunately, it was just awful. I didn't say anything as it was market day and the staff were so busy, and I just didn't want to cause them any bother. I won't eat here again, but I will go for an orange juice. It's not difficult to make a decent sandwich, you clearly had decent bread as my friends meal looked good! Take this review as intended, and just do better with the vegan options please. Service was excellent, so thank you for being professional even when you were rushed off your feet. I've done this job before and know how hectic it gets so I appreciate your excellent customer service.

Great cafe, various seating options including comfy armchairs. You can have all day breakfast, or burgers, tapas, oriental dishes and more. Nice variety to choose from and the Cowboy smash burger I had was delicious and I am rarely a big fan of burgers to be honest. You can have a classic eggs Benedict (it's hidden in the menu a bit, called Lounge Eggs), which was also good. I liked the cappuccino, the vanilla matcha latte was interesting. I guess the only disappointment was the sherbet lemonade, which was just like a watered down lemonade. I was offered a replacement when I mentioned it at the end, but I had other nice drinks so didn't need it at that point. It was a busy Saturday and we were told to expect half an hour wait for food. Well, they were faster than other places that don't give any warnings. Very good service overall. Oh and doggies are welcome :)

This is an outstanding place. I love spending hours here just reading my book and having a mean cappuccino. The location is perfect, the interior is eclectic and vintage chic, and their food is never disappointing. The price range is not on the high side, but not cheap either. You have a good choice of tables from near the window down to the deep end of the building. Nordico is the perfect spot to hang around while you wait for friends or family, or just to bring a date for a meal of the day or drinks, cocktails too. So if you're stopping by then visit the Nordico. The beverages alone are miles better (and cheaper) than the rubbish they sell on the nearby Costa, proper coffees and cappuccino's. And this is coming from a Portuguese, so I know.
