We had lunch at Piri Piri today. The staff were super friendly, relaxed and attentive. Nothing seemed too much trouble even when the room became very busy. To me, this was more important than any of the very pleasant food that they served us. If I don't feel welcome and comfortable, I can never enjoy my meal. I started with a large glass of their house wine. It was delicious, at the perfect temperature and extremely quaffable! Thank you. The presentation of the food was really beautiful. I was very impressed with the size of the salad which was a 'side'. I could happily have eaten it as a main with a few chips. I noticed that Portuguese families were also enjoying their lunch here. Me and my girlfriend had planned to train to Liverpool for a Saturday night out however, decided last minute to stay in ormskirk, we figured that everywhere would be fully booked as we were turned away from a few places but fortunately, there was a table of two available, we both got the Saturday night menu where I had the sausage croquettes and my partner had the soup of the day. Then for our mains I had the mixed grill and my partner had the Piri piri half chicken.
