Gainsborough Grill — Restaurant in West Lindsey

Please read my previous review below. I have used Gainsborough grill for a number of years and have always been extremely happy and previously scored them 5 stars on everything but last night I had one of the worse meals and service I have ever received.

We called at 7:18 and my wife spoke to Oscar he took our order and said it would be 40 mins ( bear in mind you pay for delivery) an hour and half later the food still hadn’t arrived. My wife called to see where the food was and a very rude unhelpful girl was on the phone, eventually Oscar came on the phone, again unprofessional and said your food is there (obviously not) he couldn’t get off the phone quick enough and told us to call the boss Ali. Still no food it was close to 9pm by now.

Eventually the meal turned up the driver was apologetic and said it had gone to the wrong house and his boss presumably Oscar had been on the phone shouting at him. The food had been sat in his car now for close to 40 mins so as you can imagine it was cold. To top it off my wife had a chicken kebab and requested no mayo but lots of chilli, guess what lots of mayo and no chilli. Then the final straw.. my wife has been up all night being sick. Now I don’t want to make allegations but as she was the only one to have the kebab then it points to the kebab, she was fine before eating it then 2 hrs later violently sick. £40 late cold food, poor attitude and potential food poisoning not what I ordered.

Another great meal from Gainsborough grill, thanks guys. We ordered a takeaway for NYE and I have to say as usual it was delicious, piping hot and on time.

The pizzas are amazing, we ordered a 16” pizza which was huge and had lots of topping on for only £10:99 half the cost of Pizza Hut.

We also had doner kebabs which I have to say it was the best kebab I have had in years lots of salad and doner meat really...

if i could give this place zero stars i would, i wouldn't even bother ordering for delivery, i ordered at 22:00hrs and it said estimated delivery was between 23:10 and 23:30 however i phone and they said they were on there way, half an hour later still nothing, so i rang again and proceeded to say it was on its way, i then rang at 12:00 and no answer as it was closed, when the food finally arrived the delivery man went to completely the wrong house, very poor customer service and delivery if i would of known it would take this long i would off ordered from somewhere else do they not think some of us have work ? or actual lives it's a joke i won't be ordering from there again and to top it all off they didn't have the order correct and couldn't complain as they were closed food that was recieved was stone cold... don't waste your time...

I ordered a burger etc for delivery at 19.22hes Sunday 28/05/2023. I received an email verifying my order, confirming the time and said delivery would be 35 to 50 minutes (20.12hrs at the latest). They also had my phone number to call if there was a problem. After an hour and 15 minutes, i had not heard from them, nor had my burger arrived. I phoned the shop to find out what was happening. I was told it was because it was a bank holiday and the delivery would be in 20 minutes. My order was finally delivered at 21.05hrs. I admit it was piping hot and tasty. I did not appreciate being called a 'Fat XXXX' as the driver walked away....... Excellent Customer Service Chaps! I will never purchase anything from this business again.
