BLD Restaurant & Café — Restaurant in West Suffolk

Totally surprised and hard to believe the other reviews as we regretted going to this café. When we arrive nobody acknowledged us, we sat down waited sometime for our order to be taken, Ordering an omelette meal off the menu they even got that wrong and forgot a few items off their own Listed items in the meal. To plates were adult plates that arrived and my plate was a kiddies plate And had to ask for a larger plate and they came and gave me a second small plate. We asked for water which never arrived. My colleague requested for tomorrow catch up the waitress came and gave us a bottle and waited to take it back and said they were running short.

I asked If they had bought the business recently as the Service was awful and was told they have been there for 10 years If that was the case the ship would run like clockwork.

First visit today for breakfast. Firstly we had a warm welcome, the cafe is very clean, there are lots of breakfast choices and options to customise. The coffee is excellent, and there were lots if choices for hot drinks and cold drinks. I had the eggs Benedict, it is my favourite breakfast treat and it didn't disappoint! The presentation was beautiful and not what I expected, I added extra hash browns and I'm pretty sure I won't need to eat again until tea time. There is a specials board and it had lots of delicious home made lunch and dinner options such as ribs, lasagne, kebabs, cottage pie. I wish I would have paid more attention to other items on the menu but I have a one track mind when I'm hungry! The toilets were clean with a baby change table and the cafe is spacious so you wouldn't need to worry about getting a pram in! I will be back! I thoroughly...

Just had the best cup of coffee in Newmarket . No I wasn’t in Nero, Starbucks or Costa I was in this sweet Cafe. This is my Dads and his Partners favourite cafe and I can see why. I went to meet them this morning to have a chat and that’s when I had the coffee. None of this Grande or a half a pint of coffee , this coffee was it a proper cup and it was made to perfection. You could tell from just looking at it that it was going to be good. The Crema on top was perfect 👌. The owner and his wife take a real pride in everything they do at the Cafe and the menu looks really good.looking forward to trying the lamb moussaka I think it will be pretty good.
