The Kings Arms Tavern — Restaurant in West Suffolk

Absolutely shocking food!!! Do not order ANY sandwiches. I ordered a tuna & cheese sandwich, which came out dry, tuna straight from the tin and dry grated cheese, no sauce & it all fell out once I picked it up. I returned it as soon as it arrived to the table & to be fair they gave the money back after I asked. My partner ordered a chicken and bacon sandwich which he started to eat, but it was dry, chicken was pinkish and burnt bacon. However, they refused to refund/replace that one as they 'could see there was butter & wasn't dry' - sorry but for £8 a sandwich I don't expect gourmet but I also don't expect to be given that! The service was appalling and we had to leave in the end from embarrassment as we were made to feel like the ones in the wrong, which meant my kids couldn't finish their chips & we had to leave our drinks - £30+ down & left hungry! disgusting management/landlady. went in there as the usual place we go to was full and thought we’d give it a try, sat in the garden, ordered £10 worth of shots within the first 5 minutes of being there then sat and talked for 15 minutes was about to buy another round when the lady comes out and starts shouting at us saying that she’s running a business and that we need to order more drinks or leave. we all sat in shock got up to leave as we didn’t want to be treated that way after not doing anything wrong and as we left we got hassled being told to apologise to her when quite frankly we didn’t see anything to apologise for and then as we walked out in a calm manner we were shouted at again being told to never return. shame that what was meant to be a chill Friday night in a new pub turned into that. you’d get better...

Not impressed at all. Dirty, sticky table tops. Sky sport channel blaring out of speakers all over the pub so you couldn't hear the conversation that was taking place at your table. Why the sound needs to be up for some football match that just one or two people were watching. Surely picture on and music being played would suit all. Staff busy chatting to friends at the bar to be bothered with cleaning tables and toulets. The toilets were dirty with toilet paper and puddles of water over the floor and only one out of two cubicles had a working lock. It has had a refurbishment relatively revently to try and give it a cosy country look but in reality it's just a run down town bar. I'll not be going back and certainly wouldn't recommend...
