Green Cardamon — Restaurant in Wigan

I used to come to green cardamom regularly with a large group, every birthday, celebraton and we even came at Xmas day once! Ashton and haven’t been for a while, and After ordering delivery today after telling everyone how amazing it was,I’m not sure I’ll return. 1hr 45mins for food, was told for 25 mins it was with the driver.. attitude on phone was so bad. I rang after 58 minutes to ask when I can expect it, and was told ‘it’s not due for another 2 minutes’ and then proceeded to wait another 45. Yous think after all of that the order would have been right, but was still missing all the dips ordered and paid for with the poppadoms. Food was nice but nothing how it used to be, won’t be returning after this, service was shocking. Over £30 for 2 people a curry each and couldn’t even put all the items paid...

As we arrived the first member of staff to greet us was pleasant, but that was as good as it got. The order was taken quite well, we eventually got a soft drink, and a glass for my beer, this seemed a little difficult. The starter were brought out without any niceties, the server was quite surly. When we had finished the starter itself, although we did have dips and some poppadom left these were whisked away with an "are you finished", no chance for a reply. The meals were ok, but not up to previous standards. We were asked at one point if everything was alright as the server shot past not waiting for any reply. Ok ok place to chill. The best part is you are allowed to bring drinks from outside. They have a pretty chill vibe going on with some really nice Bollywood songs playing in the background. The food was not upto the mark. If you are looking for a good Indian restaurant where you will find authentic Indian food, then this place is not for you. It serves some of the most common Indian dishes like chicken jalfrezi, korma, biriyani, butter Paneer, etc. But it's not spicy at all. We had naan, egg fried rice, chicken jalfrezi, spicy papad, chutney tray, sheek kababs . But frankly speaking none of it left a good taste in our mouth. It's no good.
