1st of all i have made thus pub my local, and its the best pub in ashton, always a warm welcome from staff, iv eaten here also and the food is gd, the beer is gd, i try and call in most days, but a couple of times only on mondays and tuesdays, iv asked for a pint as i did tonight at 22.30 and was told of 1 of the bar staff o we have finished, and before we start pointung fingers iv been told off this same lady before that they have stopped serving early, infact some monday and tuesday nights at 22.15 too 22.30 wen i finish work the doors are shut, and i do understand if pub not busy can close early, but it ONLY HAPPENS MONDAY AND TUESDAY, every other night they serve till 11, tonight Molly was on, but it isnt Molly who refused me early, it was the same lady who refused last time, and im thinking the same lady who shuts the doors early on these 2 certain nights, im going stop going on these nights as i am extremely frustrated and being told no at 22.30, do u not open till 11, thus will reamain my local as every 1 serving behund the bar other than this lady are stars, sorry for the complaint, but im not happy toinghr, best regards, 5 star this pub other than monday and tuesdays and it gets 2 stars for...
Read moreCalled in to the Robin Hood on Wednesday 6 December after some shopping. First thing I noticed was how lovely and warm it was. We were greeted with a smile by the lovely young lady on duty, after a little conversation about our morning we ordered a bottle of wine. We were served promptly and professionally by Katie. I noticed in particular that she seemed to be on duty alone and my goodness how that lady managed to multi task was on a different level. We asked for a glass of ice which unfortunately she had forgotten. Read moreJust been in for Sunday Lunch. Ordered roast beef because that's all they had. Without doubt the worst meal of any kind I've ever been served. Beef was dry and so tough I couldn't even cut it never mind chew it. Everything else was re-warmed old potatoes and veg. Gravy was just thick lump. It was so horrible and disgusting I couldn't even eat it. I don't have money to spare but I feel that they have conned me out of £10. Thanks a lot Robin Hood.
