We came on Father’s Day as its mine & my partners favourite Sunday dinner and been raving my dad to try it. Our experience was AWFUL. We sat upstairs which is not the best start. Theres no staff upstairs to tend to you they only appear when they bring your food drink etc. The starters came with no cutlery. Our mains was wrong and the waiter was holding his head in his hands when we explained they were wrong. My mum asked for dinner with no cabbage and hers came with cabbage. The managers response was ‘kale is not cabbage’ !! The waiteress brought 3 pints over & spilt them on my 1 year old, she should not of placed drinks down near him in the first place it wasn't the girls fault of slipping but use common sense don't place drinks down next to a baby!!! The dinner was not nice the potatoes was hard dry & crumbly, the beef was over done & tough & Yorkshire puddings was stale & tasted like doughnuts & not enough gravy. Dry & not enjoyable. The manager was arguing with us saying shes asked everyone else in the restaurant dining and they find the food was good - yet she never asked us how our dinners were. She was standoffish with us and not understanding we all had a bad experience. My 1 year old would not go back in his high chair after his ordeal and made my meal unable to eat as he was clung to me upset. I was overwhelmed & overstimulated! We received 25% off the bill in which i think she could if done more. All the staff haven’t a clue about service & accommodating for guests. It was my favourite place until last Sunday. The place has gone down hill. Makes it worse i am a waitress and understand how to serve...
Read moreEvery time we’ve been here there has been a problem with the service. The food is always really good but it’s just not run very well at all. We’ve been twice for breakfast, both times around 9:30/10ish and they’ve run out of either bacon or sausage every time we’ve been. Most times we have waited at least 30 mins for our drinks, we actually ordered another round when they brought our first as we knew it was going to take ages, it’s a running joke between friends that you order before you’ve even taken your first drink! Last night 6 of us went out we ordered 12 tapas dishes and 2 kebabs, after 90 minutes only 1 tapas dish had come out, we asked where the rest was to be told our order hadn’t been put through, this can’t have been the case as 1 correct dish came to the table? She then took our order again and we changed a few things as we weren’t that hungry anymore, after another 40 mins our original order came so we waited over 2 hours for our food. The staff were apologetic but I’m a place that’s supposed to be more up market than most places in Ashton the standard of service just isn’t...

Amazing what they have done to this place and it's a great addition to Ashton town centre. Called in for breakfast. Staff were very attentive. All of our party of five opted for the full English. When it came it was a hearty breakfast with all quality ingredients served on nice crockery. I have not given full five stars because of one reason. The plates the food was served on were stone cold which quickly cooled the breakfast. In fact by the time I got to the end of it, my food wasn't just cold, it was chilled. All five in our party said the same, so it wasn't just me. It will not put me off going back to this restaurant because apart from this the food was nice. I do hope that this issue is just a teething issue for the new place and will be sorted for my next return. As I say this place is good for Ashton and I would like to see it do well but they have to...
