Greenhalgh's — Restaurant in Wigan

I’ve just made the mistake of giving Greenhalgh’s another chance, and I won’t be making that error again. I popped in for a steak and ale pie, expecting a warm, hearty bite, only to be handed something stone cold. Completely inedible. What kind of bakery serves up cold pies straight from the counter?

This isn’t my first disappointment here either. Previously, I felt utterly ripped off paying £1.85 for a Pepsi—outrageous pricing for what is essentially a corner shop soft drink. And let’s not even talk about the pasty I once bought; it was just a lump of stodge, dense, flavourless, and thoroughly unpleasant.

To top it off, the service is slow, lacking any sense of urgency or customer care. It’s as if they know the food is subpar and are in no rush to serve it.

Lesson learned—Greenhalgh’s is all hype, no quality. I won’t be back, and I’d strongly suggest anyone looking for a decent bakery to take their money elsewhere.

Only gave this place 1 star because its the only way I can leave a comment, been to this shop with my 10 year old daughter who has learning difficulties and was told that she had to wait outside next to a busy main road when I said I couldn't leave her outside they refused to serve me. What a way to treat a child who didn't understand why they wanted her to wait outside horrible people you should be...
