To say I’m appalled is an absolute understatement. As someone with an invisible disability I have become mostly immune to incompetence in hospitality environments as I don’t expect them to be trained in the appropriate ways, I do however expect some level of empathy and emotional intelligence when handling disabilities and I can assure you that was not achieved at this pub.

Myself and my partner, both young adults for reference, came here for tea but I needed the bathroom first. I have a heart block and am prone to passing out, at this time I was extremely wobbly and so asked my partner to assist me in using the bathroom.

After entering and being assisted I was startled by violent knocking and what I can only assume was a worker shouting “is there two people in there??” I responded that I had a disability and was being aided with this and despite that I was then subjected to more banging and someone shouting that two people cannot be in the toilet at the same time.

Eventually after being forced to shout back that I was disabled several times and they eventually left.

This was such a disgusting and horrible experience we both decided to leave instead of getting food.

Just because I am young and do not “look disabled” doesn’t give me any less right to use a disabled bathroom. I have a severe heart block and had I have collapsed would have potentially died without anyone being able to help me.

Being kind and empathetic costs nothing.

Train your staff...

Place looks nice enough and has reasonable amount of seating, Negatives are although it looks nice quiet a few of the seating had seen better days and was a bit worn out.

Food and drink which is main priority seems to have a okay selection and with regular daily deal promotions being run it’s not that bad priced and food is okay. Checkout the Greene king app which will show menus and daily deals as well as giving 20% deductions of first order places through the app.

At the moment though the road in is also same road in for 2 new stores The Range and Food Warehouse so getting in and out “at the moment” can be a bit of a nightmare, I’m sure in next month or so the new store attraction will have worn off and access won’t be as bad... really do wish people planning these retail parks, housing estates, supermarkets etc would plan out access a bit better 🙄 ( not aiming that at just...

I took my 92 year old friend out for breakfast she ordered the bacon on toast I ordered the mega breakfast so called cos it's so big I asked for runny yolks on my eggs, they brought it out eggs on top of my beans only one with a runny yolk, 5 tiny mushrooms my toast was on top of my bacon I lifted up the toast to dried out greasy dark bacon that looked like it had been stood for hours and Rock hard I didn't touch a thing on it I told them I weren't paying £8.99 for that crap they took it away my friend was struggling to eat her bacon on toast I told her to send it back but she said she didn't like complaining so I shouted the woman back and told her that my friends food was inedible the bacon was same as mine and the toast was that hard it nearly broke her false teeth no joke won't go there again I wouldn't mind but the place was empty...

Me and my partner have just been here I used to come often when I was younger. I ordered the 12Oz gammon and I can honestly say it's the best gammon I've had for ages!! It would be nice if waiters and waitresses would come to the tables and take your orders like they do in other places though. Only because tonight I had a guy push in the que in front of me. It doesn't sit well with my social anxiety but then again it isn't a fault. It's just nice to have your orders taken from the table. I ordered the mini brownie aswell expecting a decent size brownie.... (I already dug into it as shown below) Not like the side of the brownie cut and served. That's a shame about the brownie. Maybe an actual brownie on the menu please? Not a slither 😊 Apart from that.... We'll definitely be back!
