Nando's Whiteley — Restaurant in Winchester

Three times in the space of a month we've ordered using deliveroo and not received the full order. It doesn't take a genius to double check that there's the right amount of items in the bag. When you call the restaurant it says you have to call the delivery company to complain, it's not them that got my order wrong so that's just passing the blame on! For such a big company the customer service we've received recently is very underwelming.

On top of this when placing a click and collect order a month or so ago we were yet again missing the chips but luckily I noticed when I got back in the car, however when I went back in to the restaurant the server said 'well I remember putting them in there' in such an arrogant tone.This is not acceptable. In front of other customers trying to call be out for being deceitful when in reality they are just incompetent! As a longstanding fan of Nandos my wife and I decided to take my parents who were visiting from the Caribbean along for the experience. With the closest Nandos in Portsmouth being shut for refurbishment we travelled to Fareham from Havant only to find a 50 minute wait for a table. We then took the risk and drove an additional 10 minutes to whitely and could not have made a better decision. We were seated straight away by the friendly staff who then relocated us upon request. The food was delivered in a short period and was piping hot which my parents were very appreciative of. Having spent what in our opinion was exorbitant amount of money for an underwhelming dinner at a steak restaurant the previous weekend, it was a pleasure to see the enjoyment the comparatively cheap Nandos meal created and my dad who like myself can really put it away had time request a take away box! A regular at this Nandos as we haven't had a bad experience at it personally.

The place is clean and located next to the car park for easy access and is right next to rest of the shops so you can go in whenever you want. The facilities are clean and looked after as well but haven't used them often so this might be different at busier times.

The servers are knowledgeable and have all been there for a fairly long time and are usually very helpful. The food is always prepared well and tastes amazing and gets to the table in a good time.

The only criticism of this Nando's is that it gets busy very quickly and is often very busy during lunch and dinner service regardless of day. I always try and get there earlier than the busy times to try and guarantee a seat otherwise you'll be in for a wait.
