Having read the other reviews, I can only assume I was unlucky when I visited this establishment on 22/06/22. Everywhere else in Bowness was very busy so my wife and I ate here because it was pretty empty at 7.00 pm. We sat inside, downstairs, near the front. There was a musty smell and flies. It took a long time to be given our menus and even longer to take our order. There seemed to be enough staff but we were just ignored. Once we ordered, our drinks did not turn up for ages. We could see our bottle of Malbec wine on a tray at the bar but, for whatever reason, staff kept doing other things before eventually bringing it over. I ordered fish and chips, while my wife opted for a burger and chips. When our meals turned up I was given a very small piece of fish. For the price charged I expected more than that. The quantity of chips was fine. My wife ordered cheese with her burger and a very tiny slither cost an extra £2. Overall, it was an expensive (£53.85) and disappointing evening. We never went back again.

Truly outstanding! 5 stars really isn’t enough for this place! Great location, beautiful quirky interior, amazing food! As a self proclaimed fry up connoisseur, this place takes first place, genuinely the best fry up I’ve ever had. Every single ingredient was high quality, cooked perfectly and well presented. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the food they serve, even down to the butter, the individually wrapped butter portions were that good, I actually went home and bought some directly from Netherend Farm, not even joking. My girlfriend boringly had a sausage sandwich, look at the photo I’ve uploaded, the bread is thicker than the table, proper bread! Soft and tasty too! Tried the gammon during in our visit too, again, gorgeous! Great menu, loads of drinks choices, awesome staff, will be returning!

We’ve really liked the building and the location so we had a look. We ended up getting the Mexican board with a white mocha and a pint of Pepsi. The white mocha was very nice on its own. It reminded me of what I used to drink at college. I highly recommend it if you haven’t tried it and like sweet drinks. The Mexican board had very good tacos 🌮 and nicely seasoned corn 🌽 The price was about right for the food and for the location. The only letdown for me were nachos. I think the cook must have accidentally put the avocado pot with the avocado flesh into the guacamole & personally, I prefer cheese sauce in nachos instead of just melted cheese. That’s more of a preference though. My partner had thoroughly enjoyed it though. 🌱There were also verrry few vegan/vegetarian options

Me and 6 others attended this cafe this morning, all started well, all of us was complementing the ambience and building and the look of the food, then it went downhill.. when bringing the drinks over one of our party got burnt by the server spilling tea over him, the server did not bring a note pad with him so this resulted in 5 out of 7 meals being wrong, wrong toast, we specifically ordered white toast and was brought brown numerous times, when asked for what we ordered it then took 15 minutes to come which then ended up with our food being freezing, wrong eggs, one of our party specifically ordered 'poached eggs on toast' and was brought eggs with hollandaise sauce when this was mentioned this was argued as this is what is stated on the menu, when in fact on the menu it specifically says 'poached eggs with hollandaise' and not poached eggs on toast which was asked for, when asked to swap this the server was argumentative and then we got charged for there mistake. There was also hairs in the food which looked like male head hair, no one was wearing hair nets, the only positive experience we had is with the lady behind the bar who was helpful and apologetic verses the two males who were arrogant, argumentative and rude. If I could rate no stars I would. And to add when we tried to mention anything to them they was not interested and we just got shrugged off our experience was just rude and...

We went for new years eve, the service was pretty slow with a couple coming in after us being served first. But new year's eve you expect ot to be busy. I ordered the prawns for starters which were described as fried in chilli and garlic, they were served like a Thai dish in a stock. I did comment on this- that I didn't feel the description reflected the dish to be told it did. There was also no butter served with the bread so other than dipping in my 'soup' it was dry. I had the ribs which were nice but a bit dry, a bit more coleslaw would have been nice. My partner had the chicken kebab, the meat was dry, the pitta was rock hard and the salad was going off. No one came on either course to see how our meal was so hard to complain as they all seemed so busy, also after complaining about my starter and being told I was wrong I didn't see the point. The beer and coke were both served in cider glasses, a small detail but doesn't taste the same. We also had to request a 2nd round of drinks even though we had empty glasses. We had a couple of yapping dogs in the restaurant as well, I know this area is very accommodating with animals but at 9pm it's not something you expect to have to put up with (sorry dog lovers), but jumping everytime they yapped wasn't the relaxing meal I'd imagined. We booked this back in September and was left feeling very...

Came in here for breakfast, had the dogs with us. I had the puppy on the seat, they never said a thing, waited till we ordered and then said puppy not allowed on seat (we would have left if we hadn’t ordered, they new what they were doing) guy who served us was lovely, but did pull a couple of faces when I was ordering as I was asking for specific things. We received our coffee which was definitely not flat whites, it was like water and anyone who makes coffee should know you don’t put chocolate powder on a flat white (it was rotten). My partner asked for a cheese omelette with onion, now it comes with cheese and tomato, so he asked if they could take out the tomato and put onion in instead. They did take tomato out but charged £2 for onions (about 5 little bits). I asked one of staff for a juice, he looked at me as if I was stupid and said we don’t have juice. I was eating my food and still had a full plate and girl comes to over and said are yous finished? At that point I had, had enough, it was clear we were not welcome, one of the most unfriendliness places I’ve been in and felt uncomfortable the whole time, food was very overpriced, not a nice vibe at all, everywhere else we went in Bo’ness was Beautiful, friendly and good food, will never...
