Adams & Russell Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Wirral

Thought I’d give these guys a try as I have two or three regular roasters for my beans but like to try others when I can. Unfortunately, after having ordered 3 days ago, they’ve only just despatched the order. I don’t expect Amazon like delivery, but 3 days to despatch, and no updates in between, no details about when the items will be delivered, is very poor.

Shame because everyone seems to rave about the coffee, but if it takes them 3 working days to despatch an order (although I still don’t have a tracking ID) then it’s for nothing.

As it is, I don’t know how the items are being delivered. Their ordering only has 2 options, ‘standard’ and ‘pick up’. So it could still be another 10 days before I get the order (if it’s Royal Snail 2nd class it typically takes 10 days to get to our house in the Peak District).

Amazing coffee, brilliant value, fantastic service, really nice folk, just can't fault Adams & Russell. If you're lucky enough to be local and can drop in to them in Birkenhead, and if you love speciality coffee - you'll be in your element as I was when I visited the other day. If you're not local, they'll deliver.

They roast freshly on-site, and they have a really wide range of single origin coffee. So far I've tried their Cuba Serrano, Ethiopia Sidamo, their continental blend, Peruvian MCM (shaded coffee), Yirgacheffe & Thai Doi Chang, and I've thoroughly enjoyed them all, not sure which is my favourite, they're all so good. We've been buying coffee from Adam & Russel for the last five-six years. Every time there is a choice of some unusual sorts, sometimes good, sometimes excellent, sometimes simply unique. But most of all I enjoy the good care I get every time. Whenever there happened a problem with post services, it has been solved immediately.
