Unprofessional, rude, and awkward staff
Edit: no reply button to respond to owners comment. Even their response is patronising. I'm not a robot.
Twice we have come to Paneer and both times youve caused issues. Firstly with over charging us and refusing to explain the bill as you don't do itemised billing. You charged for drinks despite it being a bring it yourself. We explained this and you still tried to charge us for drinks you don't even sell.
Then we try you once more, hoping it was just a bad day. On Monday I had a staff member stand about 3 ft behind me staring at me, what I politely asked why he just slowly walked off with no explanation. It was creepy and weird. When I told you we were here for a party of 11 you said"do you want the tables together or what? You can still hear each other anyway if we just leave it". I asked if e could have a table all together as it's a party and reluctantly you made up one the wrong size so I had to sort the tables out myself. Then I asked you not to take the birthday cakes until I had decorated them and you took them literallyin the same 30 seconds. When I asked for them back, you were awkward about it saying "you can do what you want" but not actually giving me the cakes back. I had to say multiple times please just give me the cakes. We were told by one member of staff "we cam hide the cakes but I'm not singing and you can bring it out yourself!" In a horrible tone. I don't care if I have to sing and bring them out but that was a rude way of telling me that information. My parents had rang the day before to confirm about a deal on the menu. When we arrive you tell us its wrong and then start shouting at us. Not one person in our party of 11 raised their voices and my mum had to ask the manager to step to one side to speak as he was raising his voice, being unhelpful and rude.
So no, I'm not a robot, I don't care what reputation you think you have because you didn't live up to it one bit ! Both times we came we brought 11- 16 people and have more parties to plan but you will not be having our custom or...
Read moreReally disappointed by this place tonight, got in around 6:15 for our booking and after being seated we immediately asked if we could order our 1 year olds meal first as we would like to get him fed as soon as possible which the guy understood and said that was ok. After poppadoms and chutneys about an hour had gone by but still no kids meal, we was getting worried at this point and baby getting very restless so got up to ask the guy if he could check that the kids meal had been ordered, guy goes into the back and comes out to confirm this is getting done, an hour and a half later and finally food comes out but no kids meal at all, I wasn't happy to say the least, when I asked about the kids meal he looks at the ticket confused but says oh they'll just go get it, it was clear they hadn't even started this meal and was only just starting to cook it now, after another 5-10 minutes of waiting I asked the guys to just leave the kids meal as by now it was too late and we had to try and give him some of ours instead. Two guys came over to apologise about this and then tried to make out they was doing us a big favor by not charging us for this kids meal (oh thanks for not charging me for a meal that we didn't receive 👍) I was livid at this point and that obviously just made things even worse, all in all a massively disappointing visit and definitely wouldn't recommend taking any kids here....
Read moreHad a takeaway from Paneer delivered today for the first time, and have to say it was absolutely fantastic, and priced in line with other local Indian restaurants.
The food was piping hot, full of flavour and decent sized portions, and was delivered reasonably quickly, especially for a Saturday evening, and quicker than the time quoted.
One small delivery problem, I forgot to add my house number (sorry about that😖) but was contacted by the restaurant for it.
This has now become my favourite Indian takeaway, and one I will be using on a regular basis.
Fantastic food guys, thank you very...
