Harvest Mouse — Restaurant in Wirral

Went to watch Chelsea vs Southampton in the FA Cup with my severely autistic son who supports Chelsea. The match wasn't on as they had Arsenal vs West Ham instead. Asked a member of staff nicely if they could put Chelsea on as they have the ability to put more than one match on at one. She said very abruptly that she would put it on when she had time.

I waited 20 minutes and asked another member of staff who said they would put the match on after Arsenal. We ordered food in the meantime. There was a 45 minute wait and when the food came out it wasn't hot and didn't taste very nice either. Very bland.

They didn't put the match on after Arsenal so had to ask again, and this time I was told by the first member of staff I spoke to that she would put it on when she was good and ready and if I didn't like it she would switch the TV's off as she wasn't bothered. I found her attitude to be absolutely shocking. She literally had an ego and didn't like being told what to do. I am not bothered about football and only asked about the Chelsea match because of my son. This is supposed to be a sports bar after all!!

I certainly wouldn't go again. There is so much competition out there offering a better atmosphere and much better food. It's not hard to see why the Harvest Mouse has changed hands so many times over the years. Having members of staff with this type of attitude poisons businesses at the core.

Look i usually come to the hm every other month for food. Its usually a great service and the food has been really good since the refurbishment. I orderd an 18oz steak today and ordered it to be cooked medium. It was delivered to my table quicker than it took to queue to order the thing, which is good. However it was that overcooked it was inedible. I dont expect the food to be 5 star cuisine however i do expect a 20 quid meal to be worth 20 quid. This was a quality peace of meat murdered and charred to a sorry state. For some reason i have accepted the food as a one off bad meal as everyone elses meal was just ok and i persiviered through and ate what i could so i could eat together as i was quite hungry. Im kicking myself now that i payed for the trash so instead i have posted my unsatisfied review of the harvest mouse in the hope that i may forget about my wasted 20 pounds on the meal. Staff where busy working hard as usuall so no complaints there. However thats maybee the problem in the kitchen... too...

Well after leaving a review & to their credit I was given a fast response to contact them I thought fare enough being lical i will give it a go. But after trying numerous times leaving messages 1 occasion asked to ring back the following afternoon yet still no one I could talk to. 3 following occasions leaving my number as they would call me back the following day or that evening. I have still had nothing what a mess around...

ORIGINAL REVIEW * Went for a burger with a friend and WOW worst I have ever had. Burnt is an understatement our side of potatoe skins were burnt through the chicken burger dried and the bun so burnt words can't explain I hope i can post a pic and video to show this. Cant post the video only pics but the video of the knocking of the bread bun on the plate sums up this meal. When I showed this to a member of staff she couldn't get away quick enough after 2 inedible mains and a side order they offered a free desert which really doesn't cut it here. No apology just...
