Mr Waffle — Restaurant in Wirral

On here it only allows me to choose one star but I wish I could give this place 0. Where to even start, I ordered 2 waffles and a slush and milkshake at half 10 at night and for one our order wasn’t due until 12:05 which was outrageous to start with. As it got closer to the delivery arrival I decided to sit downstairs and wait at the window as I live off a main road and it is very noticeable when a car comes in as it turns on the lights in the car park. I waited for 20 minutes and no sign of any car or person knocking as I was standing next to the door. I had no notifications on my phone showing that I had received any calls. I decided to call the restaurant asking where my order was. A worker at the restaurant told me the driver had arrived and knocked multiple times and attempted to call me which I explained didn’t happen as I was watching out the window. The worker on the phone then said the driver will retry the delivery in 10 minutes and to stand outside so he could see me. I then proceeded to stand outside the door for a further 20 minutes and still no sign of anything. I started to get annoyed and rung the restaurant again as it was about to close. Instead of the restaurant answering, the driver answered the phone and I explained I was standing outside and no one had arrived, he then proceeded to shout over me not giving me a chance to explain that he was probably on the wrong road. He started shouting and using vile language calling me a liar and saying he’s been banging on my door and waiting for 15 minutes outside which he wasn’t. Everytime I tried to speak calmly he shouted over me and then told me I cant have my food as he is now driving off. The restaurant then closed and I have no emailed Just Eat about the terrible experience and customer...

Thought I would give this place a try, I ordered a ferrero roche and strawberry waffles with nutella, and a lotus biscoff waffle, I had to add ice cream scoop at £1 extra as it isn't included. I also ordered a bubble gum ice cream. Total cost was £16.

I usually go to caspas in liverpool or somewhere in manchester. I found that this place was pricey and not much effort had gone into make it right for the customer.

The waffles were slightly under cooked, a good waffle should be crispy on some edge whilst still soft on other parts. There wasn't much biscoff sauce on the waffle and they only used 2 ferrero rochers. I was also quite dissatisfied and disappointed that I had to pay extra for a scoop of ice scream, this usually comes with them when you go to others places.

The buble gum ice cream, was not actually that. It was bubble gum syrup poured on top of mr whippy ice cream, although this ice cream was tasty and cream I felt that there wasnt much of a bubble gum flavour, which is what i paid for.

Overall, i think this place is trying to focus on making as much money as possible from each customer without actually giving the customer much in return, in terms of flavour and quality. Quite sad really as this place has no real competition here and has the potential to do well.

I'm glad I tried it, but I will not be returning, much rather go to liverpool or Manchester, and get better quality and what I paid for rather than being quite...

Very odd experience today. I walked in the shop to the sound of birds to realise there is now a cage with 2 small yellow birds on the wall above a table. Doesn't seem hygienic. Another patron asked a question, and the women phoned someone to answer it. After they left, she went in the back and disappeared for a while we had to shout her to get her back to the front. The lady serving, although smiling and friendly, didn't understand any english at all, which was awkward as someone in front of house. She had to call the other person again to take our order over the phone and have it translated for her and walk her through the process of doing them.
