Smashies Birkenhead — Restaurant in Wirral

I usually don’t bother with reviews but sometimes, if they make an impact, I need to. Did a random order on Uber Eats and I’m so glad it was this place. I took one bite of the burger and I literally gasped. It was amazing. One of the best burgers I think I’ve ever tasted (I ordered the single patty smash burger for reference). I haven’t read any reviews or anything beforehand and I am quite surprised with the negative reviews (but most of these were from a couple of months to a year ago so maybe they’ve turned around) but with my experience, the driver was friendly and was about 10-20mins early with the expected delivery. I have just received my order I ordered a smashies burger meal- it is freezing cold and looks like it’s been thrown around(see pic) and onion rings- 2 portions they are soggy as anything (see picture) the chips were freezing it turned up late- and the only things ok and able to be eaten were my sons chicken tenders, and the drinks were obviously ok. Ordered through Uber eats and we didn’t receive the food until 2hrs later after ordering. I had to drive down and check to see what was happening and was advised when I arrived that the driver only left 10 minutes before I arrived. When I asked if there is anything they could do for us due to the time, they advised there was nothing they could do due to it being “new years day” The food did not turn up until 30 mins after I got home and I live 10 mins down the road.
