Popsy's licensed coffee shop & bistro — Restaurant in Wirral

A hidden little gem, tucked away inside the community centre. I visit at least once per week, and sometimes much more often when catching up with friends.

A good variety of dishes available whether you are just after a hot drink and maybe some cake, right up to something more substantial.

Staff are always friendly and very accomodating, the coffee (including decaf) is excellent and their cakes are amazing. A very good base menu is supplemented by a regularly changing specials board so there is always something you like, or something new and adventurous to try.

As a testament to their popularity it can get busy at times, so it is best to book a table in advance to avoid disappointment - if not then you might end up having to wait a little while or grab a takeaway instead.

Accessibility at the centre and cafe is very good, and staff are very adept at assisting those with wheelchairs or prams to navigate their way to a table when busy.

Be advised that they do not have a card machine but are more than happy to accept payment via mobile banking if you haven't got cash with you. This took me by suprise the first time, but wasn't a problem as they let you know on arrival and there is even WiFi available if you can't get...

Popsy’s recently hosted my nieces 18th birthday party and it was fabulous! The cafe was turned into a bar with plenty of seating for family & friends and the main hall was used for the DJ. Popsy’s had laid out tables in both rooms so you were able to be away from the music if you wanted to be or right in the thick of it! Perfect for a mixed age group where the older members want to chat rather than dance. The bar was well stocked and well staffed & everyone was kept happy all night - a great venue for a party especially if you have a mixed age group.

I have also had lunch in Popsy’s on many occasions & it’s always lovely - fabulous staff, all homemade food, reasonably priced and plenty of choice. The cakes...

We were very lucky to hold our engagement party at Popsy’s. Thank you Terri, John and the team at Popsy’s for making our night so special! Nothing was too much trouble and you were always happy to answer our countless questions in the run up to the party and help make all of our ideas come together! Harry and I, and all of our guests, had a wonderful night. We can’t thank you enough ☺️ We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone planning a party. The hall next to popsys was perfect for the DJ, buffet, dance floor and tables and seating for just under 100 people.
