Landlord has a terrible attitude. Arrogant and abusive behavior to staff and visitors. Avoid.

Edit: The response literally proves the point. A long aggressive rant filled with pathetic, impotent attempts to threaten and deflect. This is what you can expect from the so-called landlord of this failing pub.

If you're happy to have a tiny little man with anger issues breathe on your neck as you try to do some basic compliance work, and then stamp his little feet and get irate when you slightly disturb some caulk around a 60 years old light switch whilst expecting you to vacuum the 4 specks of dust before they even hit the floor, then go ahead. Brilliant pub in the Heart of Hoylake, literally two minutes walk to the beach and the prom.
