Today we went at 5.30pm to the Siam, it was our second choice as the Shippons was full all evening. When we arrived there was no one there, we ordered of the menu as they had stopped serving all you can eat for £20 a head. We both ordered hot prawn soup, it was spiced milk with 4 prawns in each at £6.50 each it literally looked like milk, there was no complimentary prawn crackers at this very inflated price and it was in a small bowl at £13 for two bowls it was absolutely yuk.
We explained to the young waiter that the flavour was not nice and he obviously relayed this back to the manager who basically did not care. No alternative was offered.
We had already ordered our main meals which where where beef in black bean £9.70 and my other half ordered beef schezuan £17 we then had to order rice for £3.20 a portion as it came with no rice so one meal was exceeding £20!! Other was approx £13 plus. Well it was smaller than a child's portion and total bill for food was just below £50. The manager did not remove the soups nor did he apologise, for portion size but I am sure weights and measures would disagree as don't be foole off the menu or banquet which they stopped doing are the same tiny portions.
We both left and came home for something to eat. due to minimum portions, on leaving I explained the above and the manager stood back whilst his smarmy cashier took the money. We paid and explained we won't be going back, we now know why the resteraunt was still empty at 8pm but the shippons was full all evening. Siam you will be closed soon unless you get a grip £20 plus for one person meal that we could have got from a takeaway would have done two off us for £6. I can't believe anyone would sell that surely you want people to come back again or do you?? Your arrogance shrines...

I often visit Siam and find both the food and surroundings enjoyable. Whether it’s the special crispy pork, the beef chilli oil or chicken pad thai, I’ve yet to find something on the menu I do not enjoy. They also have a nice bar area where you can order from the tapas bar menu. A great idea which goes well with the draught Singha beer.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful. If you are unfamiliar with Thai food they will happily point you towards something that will meet your specific tastes. Whenever I’ve tried something that’s been recommended I haven’t been disappointed.
When I plan on taking friends out this is the spot I usually take them. A fabulous restaurant that will have you forgetting your sat in Greasby. I ...
Read moreWe both went to this Resturant after a long walk and we both decided to have starter dishes…the food was great and we both felt it was close to authentic Thailand food…we then decided to revisit the Resturant based on our last visit…What a disappointment!! The ribs where tough and hard to eat! The curry was tasteless, my gf had to send her meal back they replaced it with a yellow chicken curry and it just tasted like dishwater…very disappointing especially when we received the bill £49 for one bottle of water , ribs, and two curries and two rice!! We will not be visiting this...
