Sweet Chilli — Restaurant in Wirral

Myself and my son ordered food on Saturday evening through just eat we waited more than the 45 min we were told it would take.... My son was tracking the delivery. Then he got a call from the driver to say he had left our food with someone else in the building and he had our order. The driver said he had stood outside for 15 mins before he gave the food to a person going in and only then did he ring my son when he was driving away. We had been popping in and out and saw no one. We had no TV on so we could hear when he arrived. I can always hear people approaching the building and coming in. The track of our delivery on my son's phone never brought him to the house and there was no one else in the building to leave food with. If he was outside why not ring the door bell that's what people usually do or knock on the window. ..we never got the order, we paid for it and we wasted our evening messaging back and forth with just eat who said that Sweet Chilli had told them our order was successfully delivered...liars. either they never sent food or the driver has taken it for himself. Disgusting service. Can't rate food as never got it. I will never order from them again and they owe us 21 pound. First timer to the sweet chilli,after reading the google reviews I thought give it go seen as it’s the closest before I go back though the tunnel. There was some negative reviews but they was banging on about the delivery times and not hot by the time they got delivered and another about the price but trust me,the food is quality,ok I did pick it up myself but the lamb madras chicken rezela cheese naan and egg fried fried rice was 10/10,better quality than any other take away for miles and actually better quality lamb than some Wirral restaurants.. ok I did wait a while longer in the car than initially told but who cares if the food is lovely,I’d rather have a long wait with a proper nice addictive curry at the end than quick/fast food with no taste! I’m not saying that some reviews was wrong but what I am saying tonight (Sunday 5th sept 2021) A great chef who made belter curries with quality lamb and chicken and fluffy rice and as long as I get the same chef/quality/service from now on I’ll be made up! I’m just hoping tonights chef only has a night off when the place closes because no two chefs cook...

No idea how this is getting good reviews, it was easily the worst Indian food I've ever had. The pasanda was vile - watery and bulked out with tinned tomatoes. There was literally pools of sweaty-looking water on my plate. It was gritty, totally tasteless and the lamb was rock solid. Considering it took just over an hour to arrive (I live 10 minutes away) I would expect better. Pretty much only the naan was just about edible, but even that was burnt. How do you make bread taste bad?! Get some from sweet chilli...
