Chuck Wagon — Restaurant in Wirral

1st time here, I ordered the chicken tenders the cheesy chilli chips and coleslaw.

Firstly the coleslaw was beautifully homemade crispy fresh and delicious. The chips where again crispy and fresh, the chilli topping was nice however the cheese sauce element seemed non existent I didn't seem to have any. If the portion size was potentially a little bit bigger and the toppings were more substantial and a little bit hotter temperature wise, this dish would be perfect! having said this I would order this dish again if the above looked into. Unfortunately I would not order the chicken tenders again they lacked any type of seasoning in the batter or at all. Overall I had only given a 4 star because of the chicken tenders and portion size. I would most definitely order the chilly cheesy chips and coleslaw again.

Have ordered a 2nd time since and this time ordered The cheese and onion nachos oh my gawddd do we love them in this house they are delicious and ridiculousy mourish by far new fave item...

went here because we've always loved getting delivery (well I'm not so fussed but that's just my personal taste LOL). spent 2 and a half hours total here, waiting quite a while for our food and only one other table of customers. also noticed a strong bias towards delivery food, with multiple deliveries being sent off while we sat waiting for our food. would've been faster to just get it ordered instead of going to the actual restaurant. service was lovely and helpful, though they never attempted to apologise for wait times or make up for it in any way. atmosphere was nice + on theme, kinda average though. I thought my food was as good as delivery, but others in my party found their food to be drier than usual. also we theorise that they only started cooking our mains after we'd finished our starters, which just isn't the wisest of decisions as we had to wait for over half an hour after our starters. just a shame about...

Our first visit to Chuck Wagon. We usually go for 5guys when we fancy a burger. However, CW offer some interesting burger alternatives like pulled pork and pastrami. We got two burgers (New York & Tennessee) and shared a plain fries for takeaway. The food tasted pretty good, and was presented well in the take-away packaging. It was later on I realised we had been overcharged by £1. Our bill should’ve been £19 (in accordance with the menu shown on Google Maps), and I paid with a £20 and received no change. I’m suffering with a belly ache the day after, my wife also complained of sore belly the same evening. I did notice that the establishment has a 5 star hygiene rating but perhaps on this occasion one of the ingredients was past its best, or else the chef wasn’t up to his/her usual standards.
