As of now , April 15th 2024 the restaurant has had a refurbishment.
They've spent £2 million pounds but as a regular customer I can't say it looks well spent.
In all honesty I don't like much about it.
From the outside they have changed the parking spaces, which are new now and clearly marked, so that's better, but cars still cut you up from the pay in window to get into the parking lane, so they could have put something there to stop that.
The outside seating looks ok, no real improvement on before though.
My main gripe is now it's gone the way of a lot more McDonald's in that it's got that small express vibe.
Kind of like they want you in and out and to use your card for everything.
It feels smaller and less welcoming , very sterile.
If there's a match at Molineux or an event nearby, good luck getting served.
The Till area is tiny and I can't see it being able to deal with lots of people efficiently. If there's more than 10 orders it's going to be chaos, trust me!.
Also you can tell it's a franchise, so unfortunately the managers/people in charge are there because their parents or family members have cash, so you're not necessarily getting the best people working there, more the richest ones.
Guess it's the way it's always been..

Read moreVisited today the Penn Road restaurant and experienced disgustingly poor customer service. Went through via drive thru and the member of staff gave me all the options for sauces with my share box meal and the chicken select I ordered. All was fine until I got the collecting my food. The member of staff refused to provide smokey barbecue sauce and said I need to pay. After trying to express that I was given the option to have sauce, this fell on deaf ears and the staff member demanded 50p per sauce, I then requested 2 and attempted to pay by card however, the member of staff who identified herself at the manager, Laura said she would be to take my card out of sight into the restaurant as she did not have a chip and pin machine at the drive thru, which in sounds suspicious.
I informed that I was unhappy about this at which point another member of staff appeared who was also very rude. I spent £30 on food and I am sure that smokey barbecue sauce is part of the meal with share box and chicken selects. I requested the staff members name to which she replied, you don't need to know!!
In all my years of visiting McDonald’s, I have never experienced such substandard service. The staff really need to address how they approach customer service and this experience will ensure I don't visit McDonald’s again. Shameful...
Read moreOrdered through the my McDonald’s app. Order delivered through Uber eats. Paid delivery and they missed the sauces for chicken nuggets and cheese melts. Both of these are not edible without the sauce. Not the first time ! So I rang McDonald’s who provided the food. They said it’s the delivery company that will deal with the complaint. Rang Uber eats who said they would only refund the sauces! I told them the food is not edible and they can pick it up and refund. They refused. Asked for complaints procedure they don’t have one. Very rude called me a liar. His name was shaheryar the manager. So called McDonald’s back spoke to one of the shift managers (wouldn’t give her name as she didn’t feel comfortable giving her first name or staff if) she at first said bring the food back and they would replace it. She then understood I had a delivery and changed her mind .. because we needed to go through the 3rd party and would not complete a complaint in or give a credit note. Advised to bring the food back when I could for replacement. So round and round we go. Surely McDonald’s have a complaints procedure????? Or is it policy to let a customer who bought food from McDonald’s to go round and round until we THE CUSTOMER get fed up not great...
