Walk through the door and your nose tells you that this is going to be good. The food is delicious and very good value. The menu is large and so I recommend that you don't undertake to read it all the way through before making your choice. I found all the dishes we ordered were attractive, well prepared and at the correct temperature. I feel they have held back on the spice a little so don't be afraid to order something a bit spicier than you would normally. I had the "Railway Lamb Curry" and I couldn't fault it. I have only given the restaurant 4 stars because the service lacks patience, some politeness and was totally void of good humour. Also the lighting began to flash at times which I have a feeling the management have been living with for a while. Everywhere was clean and the decor was attractive but I would like the two customer toilets to be improved and for them to plan to add a facility for the disabled. If the front of house staff get better training then they would well on their way to a solid 5 star rating. I hope to return to this well-established...
Read moreMy daughter ordered a delivery last night for my Birthday, she was told it would be an hour and a quater due to a delay, which she accepted. It arrived 2 and a half hours later !!! after numerous phone calls. She was told on each occasion, it was on its way. Note:Travel time from Restaurant to house probably about 15 minutes at the most, it finally arrived well over an hour after being told it was on the way. She was offered free main on her next order.
Please note: this same offer was made on a previous occasion, when there was an error then an on that order. When ordering mentioning the previous promise of a main, she was fobbed off by the person taking the order saying that he was not authorised to supply the promised free main. So used as a fob off.
In the end, on having to reheat the food the meat was was tough and inedible. Worst experience. If you could give no...
Read morePartner and I went to Anarkali for date night. After many years together we have always had a Pathia and Tikka Masala however this night we decided to change things up. I had a Tandoori Chicken Dhansak but madras hot, I like things spicy but not insanely so this dish was sublime and likely something I will have again and my partner had the Anarkali special the Kulchan which is a sweet Masala without the coconut. This was the most versatile curry dish I've ever sampled hitting all the spots in the right way creamy with a gentle spice. If I was to introduce a curry first timer this is what I would give them it's that good. The atmosphere is always great in Anarkali and the staff could not be more helpful. It has become our local Indian cuisine since moving to this side of Worcester and that is...
