The New Curry Hut — Restaurant in Worcester

Had great experiences with this takeaway in the past but tonight was awful. I ordered on Deliveroo at 17:30, with the estimated delivery time being 18:00. At 18:30 it hadn’t arrived, so I contacted Deliveroo who tried to ring them twice but couldn’t get through to them.

The food didn’t come until 19:15, just when I was about to give up and order another takeaway. I had to be up for work at 3am the next day so didn’t really appreciate this - I was planning on being in bed by that time.

I’d forgive them if it was a little late, but this was 1 hour and 15 minutes late on a Wednesday night. Not sure why they’d set an expected delivery time if they can’t stick to it. There was no apology whatsoever from the delivery driver and not even an acknowledgement that he was late.

I ordered my balti medium spice and there was no spice in it at all.

It’s a shame as this used to be my go-to Indian to order from but don’t think I’ll be ordering again after this. No one likes to be waiting around for over an hour when...

We've ordered from here a few times and haven't had any issues before, however I can't say the same today. Absolutely shocked by the state of the delivery we've just had, we just chucked it all away and didn't touch it, I've never ever done that before with a takeaway. I can look past it being 40 minutes late, it's a Saturday. The bag looked like it had been stamped on, the bottom of it broke as I picked it out of the carrier bag, mango chutney and half a curry had gone everywhere. All the poppadoms broken into tiny pieces. Half the food was cold, half was warm. Missing 3 things (rice and the starters) so we literally had two curries, a bag of cold chips, broken poppadoms, a cold naan and a bottle of diet coke. I thought oh, atleast we have diet coke, nope, can't even be happy about that, it tasted flat - I checked the date and it was 7 MONTHS out of date! We're never ordering...

Don't waste your money. Man I spoke to tonight was incredibly rude. We ordered food to arrive by 9.45 and when I called for an update at 10.05 (giving leeway knowing we aren't close) I was told I'd be contacted and never was. Food eventually turned up at 10.30 and not only was a portion missing, one of the Currys was wrong and they were poor quality. When we called asking for a refund we were told it would be sent tomorrow, and he wouldn't refund us tonight and to call tomorrow. Whilst I understand it's late i might have been more understanding if the man wasn't incredibly rude talking over us, refusing a refund altogether at first, and not telling us to check again and again when there's only one bag and I'm looking at the food. I won't be buying...
