The service was a joke they put us in the worst table, we waited one hour to get served. People's who come after us getting served before us. But they give us old peanuts without asking us if we where allergic. Maybe they didn't served us because we weren't British. The starter was good. The main was good except the fact my steak was not cooked. I have to sent it back and waited even more. They promised a glass of prosecco but we never received it. Such a shame because the food is good. I don't blame the staff i blame the owner.

Had a lovely meal, 2 of us had a main, the Surf N’ Turf, and the roast beef. Both were superb, customer service was excellent, and the food came out quickly. Couldn’t fault it.. would highly recommend. A++++

We went to Indigo yesterday at the Arlington Hotel for lunch. We were greeted very warmly by every staff member we came across.

The decor is really beautiful - very elegant & the Christmas decorations were really tastefully done too.

There was a tiny little 'technical' error, BUT it couldn't have been handled any better by the 'Maître d' (apologies, I completely forgot to get his name). We had noticed a couple of tables come in after us & they got their food before us, but we didn't say anything. In fact, 2 waitresses & the 'Maître d' came over every few minutes to glance at our table & noticed we hadn't yet had our food, so they were very on the ball. The Maître d' came over & he said "I'm so, so sorry, I'm going to be very honest with you, when taking your order, the printer ran out of paper, so your ticket didn't come out. It is completely our fault & we're really sorry about that & so we will not be charging you for your drinks". We said he didn't have to do that, but he insisted & we thanked him for that & for his honesty. It's completely understandable that things like this may happen out of your control, but, it's also how you handle it/rectify it & we couldn't fault his customer service. Seeing as it wasn't the restaurant or staff's fault pursay, it was extremely kind & generous of him to not charge us for the drinks. We cannot fault how he handled the situation & he's a fantastic asset to the restaurant. I don't like leaving "negative" reviews, however I don't think this is "negative" - it was a minor technical hiccup that was dealt with very promptly & professionally, so I thought I'd mention it to show how attentive the staff were at realising we were still waiting for our food & to show the excellent customer service we received.

But, the most important part - onto the food, which was worth the wait! We went for the Autumn set menu which is exceptional value! For starters I had the beetroot cured salmon & my Dad had the celery & celeriac soup. Both were absolutely delicious & very well presented. We both tried a bit of each other's & agreed both dishes were very tasty.

We then both had the silver mullet - everything was exceptionally well cooked, lovely presentation & a very generous portion of fish. The fish was falling apart, so it was cooked perfectly. The sauce was extremely tasty too & went really well with everything on the dish.

For dessert Dad had the posset & I had the dark chocolate mousse - again, both presented really well. We both really enjoyed them & said it was the best shortbread we've ever had; it just crumbled in your mouth. The mousse was really chocolatly & the berry compote was really fresh.

We cleared the plates for all 3 courses! £22.85 for three courses of great quality food is an absolute bargain!

All the staff were very polite, friendly & professional too.

I highly recommend going if you haven't already! We did go a few years ago & we remember it being really...

We had to pay up front for this meal £105 for 4 (2 adults, 2 children) without drinks, and after eating it I can see why we were robbed of our money beforehand, absolutely Vile. From the moment we walked in the door the staff that greeted us had an awful attitude (especially the manager) probably the rudest person I have ever met in a front of house scenario. There was no effort made by any of the staff or waiting staff to make conversation or communicate with their guests. You have to get up to get your own drinks which doesn’t lend itself to a relaxed dining experience either.

We were served king prawns for starter which were extremely overcooked, hard and rubbery and did not carry a fresh flavour. We were only provided a wet wipe for our fingers which is totally insufficient when you are shelling your own prawns usually I would expect a warm lemon water finger bowl. Clearly no idea about finer dining.

This places is so out date and could do with a few episodes on Gordon’s kitchen nightmares to shake the tree and sing some home truths.

Anyway on complaint to the jumped up manager about the prawns, he replied “oh that’s terribly unfortunate” as if to say we were lying. He had no concern that we had a bad experience and just claimed to be surprised. Anyway he then offered to refund the prawn dish but then changed tact (when I said we had already paid) and palmed us off with a round of drinks we were buying for “free” and said “call it evens shall we”!!!! Unbelievable.

I haven’t even mentioned the extremely chewy beef main with dry roast potatoes and dish water gravy, and the cheeseboard which had next to no cheese with it. And what seemed like the microwaved syrup sponge pudding, tinned custard with added vanilla bean.

Not a pleasant I do not recommend going here. Seriously don’t...

Utterly disappointed and totally overpriced poor quality food Came for dinner last night with friends. Having read reviews and looked at the menu and photos on your website we were excited to come However, the quality of the food and the presentation were so poor and outdated it was I. No way a reflection of this Nothing we had resembled any of the style of the photos we had seen on your website, yet this was the only menu we were shown Three of us had Dover sole and two of them were raw! How can that happen?? It was removed to the kitchen and clearly microwaved because the new potatoes went soggy and the green beans went a khaki colour So now the timing of the whole meal to enjoy together has gone.. evening ruined The sherry trifle.. had never seen sherry.. and in fact it was prob the worst desert I’ve ever eaten. Rubber jelly at the bottom of a GLASS and cream on the top and I found shell from the pistachio topping… I’m so annoyed to think our friends paid a lot of money for this food and it was so awful Would happily speak to management The best part was the barman and the...
