Disappointing Dog. We turned up on a Saturday lunchtime, looking for brunch. A notice told us they'd run out of bread. (Flourpot bakery is just opposite, but it seems staff aren't empowered or don't have initiative to cross the road and buy more bread). Pancakes, then. 1 sweet and fruity, one savoury. See the photos. Feel our disappointment. We've eaten pancakes at both NRG cavern and at Palm Court Park cafe. We've seen pancakes on people's plates at Malt. Heavenly. Check out reviews and food photos at these 3 places. Then take a look at the miserable and puny plates we got here. 95% stodgy carb, 5 % uninspiring topping. Rock hard poached egg. Wafer thin sliver of almond. Horrible. Washed down with a chai latte that was so sweet we had to leave half of it. Cost more than it should have, for such a simple plate; made with arrogant disdain for the food and the customer. When you bring a business over from Brighton and Hove, you'd better know that we have some very good eateries in Worthing. We have options - and we'll not...
Read moreMy husband and I came to this place this morning for breakfast. When I went to the till to place my order, I was astonished at the level of rudeness I was met with, so much so I was close to tears. We didn't realise that this was a mainly vegan cafe, but as there was non vegan items on the menu, I wanted to change these items from a vegan choice to a meat choice as this was an option on the menu. To my mind this should have been easy.... The guy at the till huffed everytime I asked to change something rolled his eyes twice, and when I asked if it was ok to change things he said yes. After the third huff I said to him if its to much I'd go elsewhere because to me the huffing was rude. He replied sarcastically "I can't help it sorry" and rolled his eyes again. I cancelled my order and left very upset and confused how someone can treat someone like that. I wouldn't advise going there....
Read moreWent to celebrate my birthday at this establishment.. Really good food and the fact that pooches are welcomed indoors is a big bonus as this was our puppy's first dining experience.
Really enjoyed the space and atmosphere. Staff are busy so don't expect overeager folk on your beck and call.. You order at the desk, drinks come out and your food gets served..
Saying this the staff were welcoming and friendly but some comments of unfriendly staff on the reviews was not the case here when I visited. People get treated how they want to be treated, so don't expect super high end service cos you in the wrong joint. Be nice to them and they're nice to you! Woof! 🐶
They had clean surfaces, floors clean and decent menu, what else can you ask for?
It is a lovely pooch friendly atmosphere, the staff are lovely and welcoming and I for one can't wait to return with my kids for their...
