I've been going to this particular Flour Pot in Worthing for the past 4 months. Everytime it's been quite pleasant and staff generally are quite friendly. However, after today, I can say I will never be returning. One of the female staff members, who is fairly tall with a bob cut was so rude it left me speechless, shocked, and actually really angry, especially after I just spent ÂŁ12 on a coffee and pasty.
I also never leave reviews so it has really touched a nerve!
My partner and I were waiting for our takeaway coffees and the shop was starting to fill up and get quite cramped. We moved round the side of the bar where we normally stand when waiting for a takeaway. Within about 1 minute we were very aggressively told in her exact words "you cant stand there, hence the wet floor sign!!" This area was not sectioned off it just had a wet floor sign there. She then gave us the dirtiest look as if we just shot a puppy in front of her. There was no "oh sorry do you mind not standing there as I just need to mop the floor " or anything along the lines of that what so ever. Just pure anger like she just absolutely hated us, so incredibly rude. All we were doing was allowing them to have more customers but she cleary didnt want that or to be there and made it very clear she hates her job. It's a shame as I've probably given them ÂŁ100s if not ÂŁ1000's over the years in the Brighton and Hove shops but now I will never go back. Great start to NYE glad to see your staff are looking...
Read moreHi, Iâm leaving four stars because I believe youâll make improvements, and Iâm sure this place will soon serve some of the best coffee around.
The employees are very hospitable and friendly. Unfortunately, they need proper training on how to make coffee. Itâs clear that they are unsure of the correct process. The milk is always cold because they use a canister thatâs far too large, and they prepare a large amount of milk at once for several coffees, simply because itâs easier for them. However, this approach prevents them from making high-quality coffee.
The cafĂ© has everything necessary to make great coffee â a high-performance coffee machine and quality coffee beans. The only thing missing is proper training and the desire to improve.
Iâm leaving this feedback because many of my friends and acquaintances have experienced the same issues, and theyâve stopped visiting the cafĂ© because of it. Itâs a real shame, as the place itself is lovely, and the staff are very friendly. With just a bit of training, this could be a...
Read moreNice light and friendly place. Tables are a bit crammed in. Drinks and speed of service good. There's an accessible toilet with baby changing table too. No WiFi so not great for working. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and neither on the menu or item sign did it say tomato/ tomato sauce. I hate tomato sauce, can't eat it. I discovered it on the first bite. I pushed the plate away, soon told the waitress that it hadn't said tomato and that I couldn't eat it so she may clear it. There was no apology, nothing offered and the plate was just left on my table. I didn't make a fuss but I wasted my money and had to go order something elsewhere....
