We went to Casa Ciro's for my wife's birthday and I am very glad we did. After going through the menu which was well designed and easy to follow what was included in the dish you where ordering. For starters I had deep fried mozzarella on a tomato base for main I had the Cannelloni with meat and spinach and finally for desert i had the banoffee pie which where all very very nice. Our group all had a very nice meal and left with full bellies. The venue is very well maintained and looked after. There is a buzz about this place that is full of people talking, laughing and having a good time. The staff where very well presented, very polite, happy, fun and very good at managing their tables. They made sure nobody had to wait too long for service which was impressive as it was a very very busy night with no free tables left. I do not suffer from mobility issues but if you do I would recommend requesting a table downstairs, I only saw the toilets upstairs where we where sitting and it seemed a lot of people came up for the them. I mention this as I don't know if there is a disabled toilet downstairs, I assume there is but I didn't see it. I also noticed there is a number of menu's one general menu, dairy free and gluten free which I thought was a nice touch as normally this is not done. In all we had a great night, my advice would be to book a table as it can...
Read moreHalf term visit, pizzas hooray!! booked table for after cinema trip with two girls under ten. Menu online for children stated pizza options. When I booked 4 days before, I was told they had had some trouble with their pizza oven but it was being fixed as we spoke. "Won't be a problem" kinda thing .... On arrival l, extremely cramped, busy with retirement crowd. Once sitting, we ordered pizzas but told no pizza option today. Great. Girls had limited options and chose a chicken n chips main and garlic bread starter (burnt) . I asked if as though no pizza and they've had to choose something else - could we have a scoop each ice cream for them complimentary? Definite No!. After that, we didn't see our waitress again and paid 10% service charge for the pleasure. Too busy and cramped, poor service, no pizzas in half term kids deal week(!), kids deserve good quality food too !! (ours was ok but theirs just looked dry and bland or over cooked) and no amends or appreciation to make dining experience better. Could have been saved into a good experience but it seemed no-one cared enough My advice... Half term week - go to pizza...
Read moreCasa Ciro has always been an absolute favourite when visiting family in Worthing. Unfortunately the food under the new ownership is not a patch on what it was. My mum and I ordered steaks for main course and they were both overcooked, dry and tasteless. Very poor quality meat and not remotely worth the price tag. Sides were really poor. Wedges and overcooked vegetables did not help improve the meal.We also had to wait an exceptionally long time (1 hour 30 mins) for our food to arrive. They tried to justify this by arguing they are busy. Well Casa Ciro has always been packed to the rafters on a Saturday night and never before have we had a wait like that. In fact we used to comment that they always did such an amazing job at getting high quality food out to everyone with the speed and smiles they did. Such a shame that has changed. Final mention - none of us appreciated the cheesy winking waiter. The lovely waitress who is one of two of the only remaining previous staff kindly offered some complimentary desserts to my mum and I but this experience has really put us off returning. We will...
