I paid £16.49 for the Hunter’s Pizza Steak. I am very disappointed and upset that what I actually got was nothing like the one advertised on the menu. First of all it didn’t come with the coleslaw so I had to complain before I got it. I then found out that there weren’t any mushrooms or onion rings either and the “large portion of chips” is nothing like the amount in reality. The waiter told me that they were extras despite pointing the meal description on the menu to him. To top it off, half of the steak was inedible, so I had to spit out the food and I’ve attached a photo of it as evidence (apologies for the gross image). For £16.49 this was a poor valued meal - worth nowhere near that amount. I felt a bit better when I complained the 2nd time - they offered to give me a full refund provided I return the meal or give me a small bowl of chips and a few onion rings. In hindsight, I wish I had taken the refund because the steak was an unpleasant experience to eat and that was supposed to be the highlight of the meal. I will not be returning to this pub again. This was a let down. The staff were friendly but it takes a lot of complaining before they actually offer any sort of compensation.

Went here forgetting it had been refurbished. Totally different inside. Nice and bright . We were shown to our seats via a lift as 1 of our group is a wheelchair user . Looked very promising. Then we looked at the menu and began choosing... 1 of our group requires blended food, the kitchen couldn't do this & said the food we chose isn't blendable. ( we do meals everyday & know what we can & cannot blend for this person). We were told that if we have to leave without eating the drinks would be free. We decided to get food anyway as we had our own blender & jug with us & they needed to eat. We asked to swap chips for mashed potatoes, the kitchen does not serve mashed potatoes so then we chose jacket potatoes thinking with butter it will be smooth & creamy, they were hard & came dry, we got 3 little ovals of butter when we asked.we made it work in the end but Looking back we should have just left without eating ,it felt like we were asking too much or being awkward. having a wheelchair lift helped but disabilities arnt just down to limited mobility. Being an eating establishment and not realising or tending to people who have different needs concerning food & eating is terrible .

By the Nine Divines, The Castle Pub is a true gem nestled in the heart of our mortal plane, a tavern worthy of a hero fresh from the gates of Oblivion! From the moment I stepped through its sturdy oaken doors, I felt as though I’d wandered into a cozy corner of Cyrodiil, perhaps a stone’s throw from the Imperial City itself.

The ambiance is as warm as a hearth in Bruma, with flickering candlelight casting shadows that dance like Daedric spirits across the stone walls. The barkeep, a jovial fellow with a grin as wide as a Clannfear’s maw, greeted me with the kind of hospitality that’d make even Martin Septim feel at home. His knowledge of ales and meads rivals that of a Master Alchemist brewing potions in the Arcane University. I ordered a flagon of their house brew, a rich, amber nectar that could’ve been bottled by Sanguine himself—smooth, bold, and with a kick like a Flame Atronach’s temper.

The menu is a treasure trove of delights, each dish as satisfying as a quest completed for the Blades. I savored their “Kwama Egg Pie,” a savory masterpiece that’d make any Dunmer from Vvardenfell weep with nostalgia. The “Venison of the Niben,” roasted to perfection, was so tender it could’ve been blessed by Mara herself. And don’t get me started on the sweetroll—by Azura, it’s so divine I half-expected a thief to swipe it from my plate!

The staff move with the grace of a Shadowmere galloping through the Jerall Mountains, ensuring every patron feels like the Champion of Cyrodiil. Whether you’re a lone adventurer or rolling in with a party of guildmates, they treat you like you’ve just closed an Oblivion Gate. The minstrel strumming in the corner played tunes that’d make even a Mudcrab tap its claws, with melodies as enchanting as a Scroll of Illusion.

The Castle Pub is no mere tavern—it’s a sanctuary, a place where you can hang up your Glass Armor, set aside your burdens, and bask in the glow of camaraderie. Whether you’re a Nord seeking mead, an...

If you ever find yourself at a tavern and a waitress named Maya approaches, consider yourself fortunate, for she is the true heir to the hospitality throne, as if she were the Lady Galadriel herself, bestowing grace and warmth upon all who enter. From the moment she arrives, her presence is as commanding as Aragorn's when he steps into the halls of Rivendell, and her smile is brighter than the morning sun over the Shire.

Maya's service is nothing short of legendary. Like Legolas navigating the forests of Mirkwood with unmatched agility, she glides effortlessly between tables, always appearing at the perfect moment, never too early, never too late. Her attention to detail is as sharp as the sword of Gondor, ensuring that every need is met with precision. Even when the dining hall is as busy as the streets of Minas Tirith during a feast, she remains calm and poised, like the Fellowship on their quest—undaunted and focused on their mission.

She listens with the patience of Gandalf, and her recommendations are as wise as Elrond’s counsel, always guiding you toward the perfect choice, whether you seek the comfort of a hearty meal or the adventure of something new. And if there’s ever a moment of need, Maya’s quick thinking and resourcefulness would rival that of Samwise Gamgee—ready to lend a helping hand and offer a bit of levity when needed most.

Her kindness and dedication leave you feeling as if you've just been given a gift from the Valar themselves, ensuring that your experience is nothing less than a journey of joy, just as wondrous as the landscapes of Middle-earth. Truly, Maya is a shining star among waitresses, and anyone fortunate enough to be served by her will feel as though they've crossed the Misty Mountains and entered a land of hospitality, kindness, and warmth. May her service always be as legendary as the...

The Castle Pub is a Westerosi wonder, a true gem for any weary traveler seeking respite in the Seven Kingdoms of fine dining and ale. From the moment you step through its iron-clad doors, it’s as if you’ve been transported to the heart of King’s Landing, minus the scheming Lannisters. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between the rustic charm of Winterfell’s great hall and the opulence of the Red Keep, with flickering candlelight and sturdy wooden tables that could withstand a Dothraki horde.

The staff, as welcoming as Samwell Tarly with a fresh-baked loaf, treat you like a Stark returned from beyond the Wall. Their knowledge of the menu rivals that of a maester’s scrolls, guiding you through a feast fit for Robert Baratheon himself. Speaking of the grub, the food is nothing short of legendary—think dragon-roasted meats and hearty stews that could fuel Jon Snow’s Night’s Watch patrols. The “Mother of Dragons” burger, stacked high with fiery spices, is a fiery triumph that would make Daenerys proud, while the “Hodor’s Pie” is a comforting, hold-the-door masterpiece of flaky crust and savory filling.

The drink selection is as vast as the Narrow Sea, with ales and meads that could loosen even Tyrion Lannister’s tongue. Their house-brewed “Night King’s Frost” IPA chills the soul with crisp, bold flavors, and the “Wildling’s Red” wine flows as freely as a Tormund Giantsbane tale. Every sip feels like a toast to victory at the Battle of the Bastards.

The Castle Pub isn’t just a pub—it’s a throne of hospitality, a place where you’ll feel like the rightful heir to good times. Whether you’re a lord, a sellsword, or just a wandering bard, this is one keep you’ll want to defend with all your honor. Five ravens out of five—long...
